At the request of the Raceday Stewards, Sam Twiston-Davies, rider of Weveallbeencaught, trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies (in GB), reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stopped quickly.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Weveallbeencaught, trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies (in GB), at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have a small skin wound on his left fore fetlock but was otherwise post race normal.
026B Donohue Marquees Spring Juvenile H'dleAt the request of the Raceday Stewards, P. Townend, rider of Lossiemouth (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount jumped the third last hurdle very well but landed on the hind legs of Jourdefete (Fr), was caught on the inside and unable to get out at that point.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Darraby (GB) trained by Brendan W.Duke was noted to have blood at the nostrils post race.
026E Race And Stay Leopardstown H'cap H'dleP. Townend, rider of Blue Sari (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel and pulled up.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Blue Sari (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at the nostrils post race.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Maxxum, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be grazed inside the full length of the right hind cannon but was otherwise post race normal.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the home turn involving Maxxum, ridden by C.M. Quirke, unplaced, and Blue Sari (FR), ridden by P. Townend, pulled up, where it appeared Maxxum ran up onto the heels of Blue Sari (FR). Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. P. Townend stated that his mount had burst a blood vessel at this point of the race and stopped quickly at a time when the runners were bunched together. C.M. Quirke stated that Blue Sari came back very quickly and left his own mount with nowhere to go because of the bunched field of runners. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental and they took no further action.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident just after the winning post involving Maxxum, ridden by C.M. Quirke, unplaced, and Jungle Prose, ridden by C. McGivern, unplaced, where it appeared that Maxxum ran up onto the heels of Jungle Prose and stumbled. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.M. Quirke stated that he was starting to pull up after the race when Jungle Prose came back into his path. C. McGivern stated that he was pulling up and had nothing further to add. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental and they took no further action.
026F Paddy Power Cheltenham Fanzone Hcap S'chThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Fils D'oudairies (FR) trained by Gordon Elliott was seen to have blood in both nostrils post race.
D.N. Russell, rider of Fils D'oudairies (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made mistakes.
026G Shabra Future Stars (C&G) INH Flat RaceThe Raceday Stewards interviewed Miss J. Townend, rider of Chosen Witness, concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In her evidence, Miss J. Townend stated she was riding a very big horse and she had misjudged her use for which she apologised. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that Miss J. Townend was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using her whip with excessive frequency. Having taken her previous record into consideration, the Raceday Stewards suspended Miss J. Townend for one raceday.
Mr B. O'Neill, rider of Special Cadeau (GB), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
