The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final furlong involving Akkadian Emperor, ridden by D. McMonagle, unplaced, and Spanish Flame, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed fourth where it appeared Spanish Flame manoeuvered right taking the racing line of Akkadian Emperor causing that horse to check off heels. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. McMonagle stated that his ground was taken when receiving pressure from his left and he had to check back off heels. C.T. Keane stated that he thought he was clear but misjudged his manoeuvre. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that C.T. Keane was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered his clean record in this regard and the fact that he readily accepted his breach, the Raceday Stewards suspended him for 2 racedays.
D. McMonagle, rider of Akkadian Emperor, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had to check off heels half a furlong from the finish.
S.T. McCullagh, rider of Instant Appeal (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount took a false step and hit the rail just before the bend.
R.P. Cleary, rider of Oiche Chiuin, trained by J.S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped right from the stalls.
124B Irish EBF Median Auction M'dnAt the request of the Raceday Stewards, R.C. Colgan, rider of Below Deck, trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that he had to take a precautionary check approximately a furlong after leaving the stalls.
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident approximately a furlong after the Start involving Free Flow (USA), ridden by L.T. McAteer, Below Deck, ridden by R.C. Colgan, Portmagee, ridden by M.P. Sheehy, Uwoduhi Adanvto, ridden by O. McSweeney and Night Blue, ridden by S. Foley, where it appeared several horses received interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was down to inexperienced horses running around and took no further action.
124C Monkstown H'capJ. Kearney, rider of Ellabella, trained by Andrew McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.
C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Bababobo, trained by Miss Niamh Carol Hennessy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a noise in running.
The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Riverina Charm, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
124D Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) H'capR. Whearty, rider of Giselles Ausie, trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
D. McMonagle, rider of Red Trail, trained by Andrew McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned right under pressure.
124E Saval Beg Levmoss StksFollowing a request from broadcasters, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for a one minute delay to this race.
The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Emily Dickinson, trained by A.P. O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
K.J. Leonard, rider of Moon Daisy, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.
124F Donnybrook Apprentice H'capR. Donaghue-Leahy, rider of Tudor Manor, trained by Patrick J. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount stumbled independently on the home bend.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Adrian McGuinness, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Magnetic North, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Adrian McGuiness stated that the return to todays more favourable ground conditions may have brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
S.P. Bird, rider of Dani's Boy, trained by John J. Cullen, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount missed the break.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed J. Coen, rider of Zileo (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip excessively. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J. Coen was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion. J. Coen was accompanied at this enquiry by Ms. Anna Slattery.
124G Women's Irish Network Lady Riders H'capFollowing a request from broadcasters, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for a one minute delay to this race.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at around the 100 yard marker involving Vultan, ridden by Ms P.R. Briselden, unplaced, and Hawke Eye, unplaced, ridden by Siobhan Rutledge where Vultan made contact with the railing. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Ms. P.R. Briselden stated that she thought there was a gap there but it closed before she could get into it. Siobhan Rutledge stated her horse may have drifted slightly but felt she kept a reasonable straight line and felt there was not a gap on her inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Ms. P.R. Briselden was in breach of Rule 214 in that she had ridden carelessly and having considered her record in this regard, they suspended her for 3 racedays.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed Miss J. Townend, rider of Authorized Art (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted she had breached the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J. Townend was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered her record, they suspended her for 2 racedays.
124H Leopardstown (Fillies) M'dnAdam Caffrey, rider of Celebrating Ethel, trained by Andrew Kinirons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.
C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Humtaza, trained by P. O'Rourke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged right through out the race.
