At the request of the Stewards, D.M. Redmond, rider of Wexford Soil, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that he took a precautionary check at approximately the four furlong pole.

073B Ballylinch Stud 2,000 Guineas Trial Stks

R.P. Whelan, rider of A Case Of You trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly right.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined A Case Of You, trained by Adrian McGuinness, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

073C Ballylinch Stud 1,000 Guineas Trial Stks

S.M. Crosse, rider of My Generation (USA) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran short of room about a furlong and a half down.

The Stewards interviewed R.P. Whelan, rider of Keeper Of Time, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(i)(time to respond) and having taken his record into account cautioned him on this occasion.

073D Leopardstown Members H'cap

G.F. Carroll, rider of Silver Service trained by Michael Mulvany, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got no clear run in the straight.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Mudlahhim trained by Kevin Prendergast, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got no run.

M.P. Sheehy, rider of Lamloom trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hit the ground hard.

The Stewards enquired into the start of this race where it appeared some stalls may have opened momentarily early. Evidence was heard from the IHRB Starter, Mr. J.R. Banahan and riders D.P. McDonogh, rider of Pulse Of Shanghai (Drawn 15) J.M. Sheridan rider of Turbine (Drawn 6), and S.M. Crosse, rider of Juyush (GB)(Drawn 4). Mr. Banahan stated that the stalls were tested as normal prior to racing. He further stated that notwithstanding the slightly staggered nature of the start, a fair start had been effected. Mr. McDonogh stated that his mount seemed to anticipate the start half a stride early, his mount may have touched the stalls with his nose which forced them to open slightly early. Mr. Crosse stated that his mount seemed to anticipate the start. Mr. Sheridan stated that his mount seemed to anticipate the start. Having viewed the recording of the start and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that a fair start had been effected and took no further action.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Wonder Elzaam, ridden by L.T. McAteer, Dream Today, ridden by C.J. MacRedmond, and Geological, ridden by W.J. Lee, where it appeared Geological ran short of room about a furlong out. L.T. McAteer stated his race was over when the interference took place and he was caused little harm. W.J. Lee reported that his mount was travelling handy, he was holding onto his position when he got squeezed. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. MacRedmond stated that he hit his mount a smack with his right hand at which point his mount shifted left, he straightened his mount up, used his whip again at which point his mount shifted again at which point he pulled his stick through. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that while Geological received interference they did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.

W.J. Lee, rider of Geological trained by Damian Joseph English, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tight for room a furlong out.

073F Leopardstown H'cap

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Zozimus, ridden by P.A. Harnett, and Irwin, ridden by S.M. Crosse, where it appeared Irwin ran short of room in the straight. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S.M. Crosse stated that he angled out for a run on the bend, as they straightened up his horse had daylight and he got a nudge from his outer. Mr. Harnett stated that his mount was in the box seat all the way and as they turned in his mount switched leads and leaned in. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.

M.A. Gallagher, rider of Britzka trained by Edward P.Harty, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got a bit tight for room in the straight from his outer.

The Stewards reviewed an incident inside the final furlong involving Sir Lamorak, ridden by R.L. Moore, Bear Story, ridden by R.P. Whelan, and Britzka, ridden by M.A. Gallagher. Having viewed the recording of the race, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

P.A. Harnett, rider of Zozimus trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount leaned left in the straight.

073G1 GAIN The Advantage Series H'cap

R.P. Whelan, rider of Dream Tale (GB) trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lugged left up the straight.

E.J. McNamara, rider of Swiss Army Officer trained by Kevin Thomas Coleman, reported to the Clerk of Scales that he had to wait for a gap turning in.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Oneiroi trained by D.Buckley, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was very keen early on.

A.J. Farragher, rider of Mijul Angel trained by B.A.Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly left throughout.

Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Samaritaine (GB) trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount didn't get a clear run in the straight.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Time And Money trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount went left up the straight.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Ballycaines trained by B.A.Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was badly hampered in the straight and had to check.

G.F. Carroll, rider of Blankiedoodie (GB) trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got no clear run in the straight.

The Stewards enquired into an incident approximately one and a half furlongs from home involving Time And Money, ridden by R.P. Whelan, Ballycaines, ridden by C.D. Hayes, and Munfallet, ridden by R. Coakley, where it appeared horses got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. Hayes stated that he got contact from both sides. Mr. Whelan stated that he nursed his horse and felt his horse shifted slightly towards Mr. Hayes at which point he heard a shout and straightened up. Mr. Coakley stated that he was waiting for a run, he felt there was a gap at which point he committed. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that while Ballycaines did receive interference they did not apportion blame to any rider and took further action.
