The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J. Coen rode Diamond Duke (reserve) trained by M.F.Morris (Race 3)
Mr. D. Doyle replaced Mr F. Maguire on Golden Order, trained by Michael E Hallinan (Race 6)(Stewards' Permission)

199A Killarney Plaza Hotel & Spa M'dn H'dle

P.K. Donovan, rider of Edge Of Darkness, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered bad interference by the faller with a circuit to go.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined El Barakah, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

199C Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap H'dle

A.P. Kelly, rider of Optional Mix, trained by Eoin Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left in the home straight.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.P. Shinnick, rider of Kells Priory, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g)(frequency) and Reg.10.3.(f)(force) and having taken his record into account suspended him for five race days.

199D Kerry Drain Services H'cap H'dle

B.W. Harvey, rider of Noble Crusade (USA), trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that the ground was too fast for his mount.

R.A. Doyle, rider of Walk In Time, trained by David Harry Kelly, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the third last and pulled up.

199E KPH Construction H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards received a report from the IHRB Clerk of the Scales, Ms. A. O'Keeffe, that S.D. Torrens, rider of Paradise Lost, placed fourth weighed-in 1.3lbs light. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he believes that he accidentally weighed out with two girths which may have accounted for the discrepancy in the weights. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards disqualified Paradise Lost from fourth place in accordance with the provisions of Rule 231(i), noted the rider's explanation and amended the result as follows;

1st Red Glory
2nd Chatterbox
3rd Dame Rapide
4th Baltinglass Hill
5th The Names Jock.

199F Dr Ivo O'Sullivan Memorial INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards advised Richard John O'Brien, trainer of Quite Spicy, that a repeat of this horse's behaviour (refused to line up at start) may render her liable to suspension in future.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Hey Boy (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
