The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

W.J. Lee rode Chimeric (reserve) trained by J.F. Levins (Race 5)
S. Foley rode Harbanaker (reserve) trained by Gavin Cromwell (Race 5)
W.J. Lee replaced L.F. Roche on Captain Hornblower, trained by W. McCreery (Race 1)(intended mount a non runner)

122B Ir. Stallion Farms EBF Med Auc (F) Race

S. Foley, rider of Alizarine (GB) trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount slowly away.

122C Killarney Race Goers Club M'dn

W.M. Lordan, rider of Erbacher trained by J.F. Levins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.

W.J. Lee, rider of All Lies Ahead trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jinked left when she hit the front.

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the run to the first bend involving All Lies Ahead, ridden by W.J. Lee, Goldfinch, ridden by C.D. Hayes, and Katelyn's Dream, ridden by P.A. Harnett where it appeared Katelyn's Dream had to take back off heels. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W.J. Lee stated that he was trying to take his filly back and she leaned in left as a result of this. C.D. Hayes said he was keeping a straight line when he received a bump from his right. P.A. Harnett stated that he was trying to take his filly back as she was running keen when he got pressure from his right. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action other than to advise W.J. Lee to ride with more awareness in future.

122D Irish Examiner H'cap

M.P. Sheehy, rider of Onameridance trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left in the straight.

The Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the stalls involving Tawny Coster, ridden by D.J Gilligan, Elmos Fire, ridden by L.T. McAteer, Pink Fire Lilly, ridden by G.M. Ryan, and Silken Ladder, ridden by G.F. Carroll where it appeared Tawny Coaster had to take back. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.J. Gilligan stated that he had to take back as he received pressure from both sides. L.T. McAteer stated that he jumped out to make it and felt he kept a straight line. G.M. Ryan felt he kept a straight line throughout. G.F. Carroll said he kept a straight line and did not contribute to any interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards could not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action. D.J. Gilligan was accompanied by Elaine O'Farrell at this enquiry.

122E Killarney Outlook H'cap

At the request of the Stewards, Sylvia O'Donnell, rider of Extensio, trained by P.F.O'Donnell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that she had not intended to be as far back but she had a bad draw and broke slowly.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Cometh The Man, trained by Adrian McGuinness, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

122F Celtic Steps H'cap

The Stewards received a report from the Irish Horse Racing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, that Monty's Way, trained by J.P. O'Brien, was found to be a gelding and not a colt as shown on the passport presented. Having considered the report, the Stewards fined J.P. O'Brien €130, in accordance with the provisions of Rule 148 (vi).

Richard John O'Brien, trainer of Abstract, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge had a cut on its left fore post race and was found to have pulled a shoe also on its left fore.
