The Stewards informed J.A.Stack, trainer that Chazzesmee, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
At the request of the Stewards, G.P. Halpin, rider of Eternal Presence, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that he felt it was a very steadily run race which did not suit his mount.
110C Killarney Race Goers Club M'dnG.P. Halpin, rider of Mudawy trained by Kevin Prendergast, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was very keen early on and did not get home.
D. McMonagle, rider of Simply Sideways trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount broke very slowly.
The Stewards interviewed W.J. Lee, rider of Fictitious Lady, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that W. J. Lee was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered W. J. Lee's record in this regard the Stewards suspended W. J. Lee for two racedays.
110D Irish Examiner H'capThe Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Lust, ridden by Sam Ewing, placed fifth, Emphatic Answer, ridden by S.M. Crosse, placed first, Vocito, ridden by W.T. Byrne, placed third and Magic Carousel, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, placed fourth, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Sam Ewing stated that he had not suffered any interference and his race was run and it had not cost him anything. S. M. Crosse stated that he was of the opinion that he had kept straight throughout. W. T. Byrne stated that he had kept straight throughout. J. M. Sheridan stated that he had suffered only slight interference and it had made no difference to him.Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that while interference did occur no horse had improved its finishing position as a result of the interference so they made no alteration to the judge's placings and took no further action. Sam Ewing was accompanied at this enquiry by K. O. Ryan.
110E1 Killarney Outlook H'capThe Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms. A. O'Keeffe, that S.E. McCarthy, rider of Reddiac, had presented herself to weigh out at three pounds overweight, none of which had been declared at declaration time. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards granted permission for S. E. McCarthy to take the mount aboard Reddiac and allowed the overweight owing to exceptional circumstances and they took no further action.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Blue Raven, trained by Paul Stafford, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis.
Sam Ewing, rider of Harbanaker trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount met trouble in running.
The Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Harbanaker, ridden by Sam Ewing, unplaced and Autumn Mist, ridden by T.P. Madden, unplaced, where it appeared that Harbanaker had to check off heels. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
At the request of the Stewards, R.P. Whelan, rider of Dance Emperor, trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly away.
110E2 Killarney Outlook H'capThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Pinpointed, trained by John E. Kiely, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Youceeyouceecee, trained by Miss Susan A Finn, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis.
W.J. Lee, rider of Pinpointed trained by John E. Kiely, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not pick up in the straight.
P.A. Harnett, rider of Youceeyouceecee trained by Miss Susan A Finn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled and lost its action at the two furlong pole.
The Stewards requested a report from John Joseph Murphy, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Fall For A Kiss, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. George Murphy, Authorised representative for the trainer stated that his charge may not have faced the cheek pieces and was badly drawn last time out at Gowran on the fifth of May. He added that the removal of the head gear and a change of tactics, to a very patient hold up ride had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.
J.M. Sheridan, rider of Jazz And Blues trained by James M. Barcoe, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.
110F Celtic Steps Supports Frontline H'capD.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Great Trango trained by David Harry Kelly, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tight for room on the home bend.
G.P. Halpin, rider of Take A Turn trained by Mrs Denise Foster, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was very keen throughout and hung left late on.
The Stewards enquired into an incident on the home bend involving Great Trango, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, unplaced, Sayo (GB), ridden by Rachael Blackmore, unplaced, Hook Head, ridden by L.T. McAteer, placed fifth and Happy Company, ridden by S.P. Bird, unplaced, where it appeared that Happy Company hit the running rail and Great Tango had to check off heels. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. J. O'Keeffe stated that he got tight for room but he was not going well enough to hold his position. Rachael Blackmore stated that her mount was struggling to hold its position and she had to check briefly. L. T. McAteer stated that his mount rolled in slightly on the bend. S. P. Bird stated that things got tight but it did not affect him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards could not apportion blame to any rider and they took no further action. Mr. M. F. O'Donoghue, Acting Steward, absented himself from this enquiry and was replaced by Mr. P. D. Deegan, Stipendary Steward.
