The Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Monvour, ridden by S.W. Flanagan, placed fifth and Over Milk Wood (GB), ridden by K.J. Brouder, placed fourth, where it appeared that Over Milk Wood got tight for room and had to check. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Stewards enquired into possible interference on the approach to the last involving Say Goodbye, ridden by R.M. Power, placed second and Tisadream, ridden by Rachael Blackmore, placed third, where it appeared that interference had occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Rachael Blackmore stated that she suffered interference from the horse on her outside at the last, but felt it had no cost her a better finishing position. R.M. Power stated that his mount was hanging left on the approach to the last which he was concentrating on and as he was about to take off for the last, his mount went right of it's own accord causing interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that while Say Goodbye had caused interference to Tisadream it did not warrant a reversal to the Judge's placings. The Stewards were also satisfied that no riding offence had occurred and took no further action other than to advise R.M. Power to ride with more awareness in future.
