115D Moyvore Whiskey Vault H'cap H'dleThe Raceday Stewards interviewed Rachael Blackmore, rider of Lady Rita, trained by Louise G. Lyons, concerning her riding where she appeared to stop riding after reaching the winning post with a circuit to run. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that this animal had a tendency to run inconsistently and was running over a longer trip today for the first time. She added that she wanted to ensure that the race was run at a strong gallop and let her mount stride on after the final hurdle with a circuit to run but the animal got lairy in front and on realising there was still a long way to go, she allowed her to come back under her. Having viewed the recording and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards informed Rachael Blackmore that they were not entirely convinced with her explanation offered but under the provisions of Rule 212A they could not be certain that her misjudgement, if any, had caused her to fail to obtain her best possible placing and therefore took no further action.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Law Ella, trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be distressed post race.
E. Walsh, rider of Nine Graces (GB), trained by Barry Connell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled during this race.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed R.A. Doyle, rider of Desertmore House, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, R.A. Doyle admitted that he had exceeded the allowable guidelines for frequency and apologised for his actions. In relation to the IHRB Veterinary Officers post race report, R.A. Doyle told the Raceday Stewards that he was aware that his mount marked easily and changed his whips for this race but accepted that it worked against him on this occasion. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that R.A. Doyle was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency and R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive force. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Raceday Stewards suspended R.A. Doyle for three racedays.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of The Echo Boy, placed first, as compared with its recent form. James Griffin, Authorised representative of Dermot Anthony McLoughlin reported that the drop back in trip from three miles to two miles three furlongs brought about the improved performance. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
