The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

P.K. Donovan rode Barbaha Queen (reserve), trained by John Patrick Ryan (Race 3)
B. Hayes replaced J.W. Kennedy on Gevrey (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 5) (stood down)
K.M. Donoghue replaced J.W. Kennedy on Walking The Walk, trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 6) (Stood down)
D.J. Gilligan replaced J.W. Kennedy on Arctic Ambition, trained by Gordon Elliott (Race 7) (Stood down)

227A Racing Again August 25th M'dn H'dle

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of College Green, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around on the approach to the first.

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Quinta, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount sustained an injury and came down.

227B1 Mahon Hospitality Group H'cap H'dle

E. Dwan, rider of Mount Gable, trained by Mrs Julie Cashin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made an abnormal respiratory noise from the third last.

C. Owens, rider of Prince Quattro, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received some interference at the last.

227B2 Mahon Hospitality Group H'cap H'dle

Mr E.P. O'Brien, rider of Black Tonic (GB), trained by Richard John O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount has previously been very keen and was dropped out to settle and come home well.

227C Kilbeggan Races On Facebook M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards received a report from Mr. A. Tyrell, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, that the passport presented for Silent Dawn, trained by Adrian Murray, contained discrepancies that the trainer had previously been given thirty days to correct but that these discrepancies had not been corrected. Evidence was heard from John Broughan, authorised representative for Adrian Murray and the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Silent Dawn.

C.M. Quirke, rider of Quarry Lady, trained by John M. Burke, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran out at the fifth last.

227E Kieran Kelly Memorial H'cap S'chase

S.W. Flanagan, rider of Napoleon Blue, trained by R.P. Burns, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was pulled up lame.

The IHRB Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Napoleon Blue trained by R.P. Burns was injured on its left fore.

227G Kilbeggan On Instagram INH Flat Race

The IHRB Veterinary Officer examined Steppingstone (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on its right hind.

Mr P.W. Mullins, rider of Steppingstone (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled and made an abnormal respiratory noise turning in.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr S. Cotter, rider of Thief Of The Night, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr. S. Cotter was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g (excessive frequency) and having considered his record in this regard, they suspended him for three racedays.
