The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Draconid trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien was lame post race.
402D Lengthen Your Odds With BetVictor H'capThe Stewards reviewed an incident on the run to the first bend where it appeared Black Cat Bobby appeared to get tight for room. Having reviewed the video footage of the incident and considered all the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.
G.M. Ryan, rider of Black Cat Bobby (GB) trained by Ciaran Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tight for room after a furlong.
At the request of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Handicapper, Stewards obtained a report from Shane Lyons, Authorised representative for G.M. Lyons, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Lust, placed first, as compared with its recent run at the Curragh on 27th August 2021. Mr, Lyons felt that the return to softer ground conditions, which the animal had previously ran well on, brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the contents of the report.
402E1 Get A Run For Your Money BetVictor H'capThe Stewards interviewed J.A. Heffernan, rider of While You're Up, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he had used his whip excessively. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that J.A. Heffernan was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and considering his record in this regard they suspended him for 10 racedays.
J. Coen, rider of Derry Lad trained by Kevin Thomas Coleman, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount rolled around in the closing stages.
402E2 Get A Run For Your Money BetVictor H'capAt the request of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Handicapper, The Stewards requested a report from Gearoid Patrick Brouder, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Astrophysicist (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent flat form. Mr. Brouder reported that his charge relishes the testing ground conditions and attributed this to the horses apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the contents of the report.
Tom McGuinness, trainer of Zeyaraat, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge was coughing post race
