The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined King Pellinor, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.

Owing to ground conditions, the Stewards granted permission for fence number four to be omitted from this race and the remainder of the chase card.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Real Steel (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.

P. Townend, rider of Real Steel (FR) trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Encore Lui (FR), trained by Miss Elizabeth Doyle, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards interviewed B. Hayes, rider of Even Flight (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that B. Hayes was in breach of Regulation 10.3(h)(arm above shoulder heigh) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 1 raceday.

At the request of the Stewards, Mr T.E. Doran, rider of Devil's Glen, trained by Keith Henry Clarke, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was keen early on, missed a few hurdles and stayed on one paced in the closing stages.

B. Hayes, rider of I'mstillyourbaby trained by P.A.Fahy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly and was pulled up thereafter.

At the request of the Stewards, J.S. McGarvey, rider of Weihnachts, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount jumped poorly on his previous run when pulling up and was competitive today in what he felt was a slowly run race, but got underneath the third last and last fence before being outpaced on the run to the line.

At the request of the Stewards, D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Royal Reve (FR), trained by T.M. Walsh, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount is a very big animal that was out paced for much of the race before staying on past tired horses in the closing stages.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fivecardstud, trained by J.T.R.Dreaper, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
