The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at the second last hurdle involving Magic Boum (FR), ridden by Sam Ewing, placed fourth, Mongibello (GB), ridden by J.J. Slevin, placed second, and Chautuaqua, ridden by D. King, unplaced, where it appeared interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Sam Ewing stated that his mount was tiring on approaching the second last hurdle which caused her to roll around. J.J. Slevin stated that a gap appeared down the rail and on jumping the second last he collided with Mongibello in mid air. D. King stated that his mount jumped the hurdle poorly resulting in him going right. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
