295G William Hill Play Responsibly H'cap

The Stewards enquired into the apparent improvement in form of No Say Ever (GB), trained by Miss Amanda Mooney, placed first, compared with its recent form. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that her charge ran flat at Galway on the 25th July and Lynn Hillyer, IHRB Veterinary Officer had liaised with her on the day and subsequently. She added that she was satisfied to run her charge here at Dundalk on the 15th August but ran flat again. Two days later the animal was taken to a Veterinary Clinic for a thorough examination and a displaced colon and enlarged spleen were diagnosed. She believed that this was an underlying problem for a while and following further scanning she was satisfied to run her charge here tonight. She admitted to the Stewards that she was not aware that she had to report the veterinary finding that had affected her charge's performances. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that there was a breach of Rule 213 and referred the matter to the Referrals Committee.
