The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Confide (GB), trained by James McAuley, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on his right fore. Samples were taken for analysis.
D.P. McDonogh, rider of Fastman trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout this race.
040B Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dnD. McMonagle, rider of Lizzy's Filly trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran very green throughout this race.
M.A. Enright, rider of Tawny Coster trained by J.A.Stack, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away and also ran green early on.
040C BetVictor Casino H'capThe Stewards enquired into an incident close to the finish involving Tyrconnell, ridden by C.T. Keane, Super Over, ridden by M.P. Sheehy and Punk Poet, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, where it appeared that Tyrconnell checked slightly when racing between horses. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, C.T. Keane stated that his mount was unable to take the gap between horses and then it narrowed. D.P. McDonogh stated that he felt that his mount had maintained a straight course and did not contribute to any incident. M.P. Sheehy stated that his mount was wearing blinkers for the first time, switched leads and rolled right. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations and they took no further action.
The Stewards enquired into an incident soon after the start involving Party Moon (GER), ridden by R. Whearty and Noble Crusade (USA), ridden by K.J. Leonard, where it appeared that Party Moon (GER) which had the rails position from draw one was left short of room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence R. Whearty stated that he was happy with his position when receiving tension from his outside which squeezed his mount for room and caused him to bump off the running rail. K.J. Leonard stated that his mount got tightened from congestion on his outside but he had still maintained a straight course. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found that K.J. Leonard was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended him for one raceday. Furthermore, the Stewards cautioned R. Whearty for failing to report anything that may have affected his mount's performance as obliged to do so under Rule 213. Elaine O'Farrell accompanied R. Whearty at this enquiry.
040D View Restaurant At Dundalk Stadium M'dnG.P. Halpin, rider of Mr Mills trained by Christopher David Timmons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from stalls.
The Stewards informed Miss Katy Brown, trainer that Cula Bula Mamool, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
040E Book Online @ DundalkStadium.com H'capC.D. Hayes, rider of Kaswarah trained by P.J.Hassett, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered late on. The Stewards subsequently reviewed the video footage of this incident and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
R. Whearty, rider of The Bog Bank trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered a small bit of interference late on.
040F Willie Buckley Memorial H'capA.C. Persse, rider of Devious Angel trained by John J.Nallen, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen early on and hung left up the home straight.
040G DundalkStadium.com Apprentice H'capThe Stewards informed Joseph Anthony Murray, trainer that Never Back Down, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
M.P. Sheehy, rider of Dr Patrick trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered interference at the bottom of the home straight.
The Stewards advised Joseph Anthony Murray, trainer, that his charge "Never Back Down" which unseated his rider when the stalls opened, may be liable to a suspension if there is a recurrence of this behaviour in the future.
W. Joyce, rider of Never Back Down trained by Joseph Anthony Murray, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount went to come out under the front of the stalls and unseated him as the stalls opened.
The Stewards enquired into an incident early in the straight involving Conor Hogan, ridden by J. Kearney and Dr Patrick, ridden by M.P. Sheehy, where it appeared that Dr Patrick received some interference when Conor Hogan changed course. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, M.P. Sheehy stated that a gap opened for his mount to take but Conor Hogan switched left of a loose horse causing his own mount to check. J. Kearney stated that the loose horse had drifted to the right and he checked his own mount and switched to the left accidentally interfering with Dr Patrick. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action. Ian Kearney accompanied J. Kearney at this enquiry.
040H Lengthen The Odds With BetVictor RaceJ. Coen, rider of Isle Of Sark (USA) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lugged a bit right in the last furlong.
