The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer of Merroir (Off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

C.D. Maxwell replaced G.F. Carroll on Muraahin (GB), trained by Gavin Cromwell (Race 2)(Injured).
D.P. McDonogh replaced G.F. Carroll on Red Heel, trained by Michael Mulvany (Race 5)(Injured)
W.J. Lee replaced G.F. Carroll on Swiss Swoo, trained by Mrs Denise Foster (Race 6)(Injured).
B.M. Coen replaced G.F. Carroll on Zegos Surprise, trained by Michael Mulvany (Race 7)(Injured).
A.J. Farragher rode Clef De Voute (reserve), trained by Kieran P. Cotter (Race 1)
S.M. Crosse rode Chief Of Police (reserve), trained by Oliver McKiernan (Race 2)
D. McMonagle rode Neyland (GB) (reserve), trained by Patrick Martin (Race 5)

012A DundalkStadium.com H'cap

The Stewards considered a report from Irish Horse Racing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, Ms. Joan Taylor, regarding the vaccinations of Mutanaqel (GB), trained by John C. McConnell. No passport was presented. Evidence was heard from Ms. Joan Taylor, Veterinary assistant Miss. Colleen Murphy and John C. McConnell. Email correspondence from the Irish Horse Racing Regulatory Board Chief Veteniary Officer, Dr. Lynn Hillyer was also considered. Under the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Mutanaqel (GB). The Stewards referred the matter to the C.E.O of the Irish Horse Racing Regulatory Board for further investigation.

M.A. Enright, rider of Maysonlight (GB) trained by Joseph G. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

The Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages involving Sand Castle, ridden by C.D. Maxwell, placed second and Lady Of Luxury, ridden by A.C. Persse, placed first, where it appeared that Sand Castle drifted off a true line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

012B HOLLYWOODBETS HORSE RACING H'cap

S. Foley, rider of Gougane Barra (USA) trained by M. Halford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount did not get a clear run in the straight.

L.T. McAteer, rider of Vormir trained by F. Birrane, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

012C Crowne Plaza Hotel Dundalk H'cap

W.J. Lee, rider of Bobby K trained by Michael William O'Meara, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount rolled a bit right in the straight.

S. Foley, rider of Will Be King trained by Gerard O'Leary, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped after a furlong.

A.J. Farragher, rider of Overtake (GB) trained by M. Halford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount clipped heels at the bottom of the straight. He further added that his mount was very keen and ran in to the horse in front of him. Having viewed a recording of the incident and considered the matter the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

Patrick Martin, trainer of Crystal Pool, reported to the Office of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board that his charge was found to be in season post race.

012E Irishinjuredjockeys.com (C&G) M'dn

G.M. Ryan, rider of Star Harbour trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got short of room at the bottom of the straight.

012F Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

At the request of the Stewards, T.E. Whelan, rider of Miss March, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was hemmed in on the rail and then in the straight the horses in front of him rolled around alot.

The Stewards interviewed C.J. MacRedmond, rider of War Hero, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that C.J. MacRedmond was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered C.J. MacRedmond's record in this regard the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.
