The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

W. J. Lee replaced G.F. Carroll on Ballybaun Star, trained by Thomas Gibney (Race 1)(Injured).
A. J. Slattery replaced G.F. Carroll on Tynamite, trained by David Marnane (Race 7)(Injured)

S. Foley, rider of Illusory trained by M.Halford, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped left out of the stalls.

The Stewards informed D. Donovan, trainer, that Wild And Willing, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

At the request of the Stewards, J.M. Sheridan, rider of Duck And Vanish (GB), trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount did not move very well and made an abnormal respiratory noise down the back. He added that he was not hard on his mount in the straight as he felt something was amiss but he was unaware that his mount had burst a blood vessel until after the race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Duck And Vanish (GB), trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at the nostrils post race.

391B1 Crowne Plaza Hotel Dundalk H'cap

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the first bend involving Rita Levi, ridden by R.P. Cleary, unplaced, Sharjah, ridden by A.J. Slattery, placed fourth, Arctic Blaze, ridden by S. Foley, placed second, Ragtime Red, ridden by Annalise Cullen, unplaced and Getgo (GB), ridden by G.P. Brouder, unplaced, where it appeared that Ragtime Red ran short of room and clipped heels. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that A. J. Slattery was in breach of Rule 214, in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered A. J. Slattery's record in this regard the Stewards suspended A. J. Slattery for four racedays. Annalise Cullen was accompanied at this enquiry by Denis W. Cullen.

S.M. Crosse, rider of Merroir trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Rita Levi trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got a little tight for room at the first bend.

Annalise Cullen, rider of Ragtime Red trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount was badly hampered at the first bend.

The Stewards requested a report from Jarlath P. Fahey, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Never Mistabeat, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Jarlath P. Fahy stated his charge can be quite lazy and that he had tried cheek pieces previously, which made little difference, but the application of first time blinkers today had the desired effect and had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.

391B2 Crowne Plaza Hotel Dundalk H'cap

W.M. Lordan, rider of Manap (GB) trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left in the straight. In light of this report the Stewards reviewed the horses record and noted a history of similar reports.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Manap (GB), trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

Sam Ewing, rider of Latchet trained by Leanne Breen, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount clipped a heel turning in. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

391C Irish Stallion EBF Median Auction M'dn

The Stewards received a report from the Irish Horse Racing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officier, that Soonerthebetter, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, was found to be a gelding and not a colt as shown on the passport presented. Having considered the report, the Stewards fined Joesph Patrick O'Brien €130, in accordance with the provisions of rule 148 (vi).

391D HOLLYWOODBETS HORSE RACING H'cap

Sam Ewing, rider of Reverberation (GB) trained by J.J.Lambe, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

At the request of the Stewards, Siobhan Rutledge, rider of Kudbegood, trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her mount fly leaped from the gates but that it was her intention to drop her mount out regardless.

A. J. Slattery, rider of Tynamite trained by David Marnane, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.

The Stewards fined Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer, €65 for failing to fit the declared headgear to Drummond Warrior, prior to entering the parade ring.

L.T. McAteer, rider of That's Not Me trained by Anthony McCann, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung badly right and lost its action in the straight.
