067C View Restaurant At Dundalk Stadium H'capThe Stewards interviewed S.P. Davis, rider of Forge Road, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, S.P. Davis accepted that he had breached the whip guidelines for frequency by misjudgement and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that S.P. Davis was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration and pursuant to the provisions of R10(6)(a), the Stewards suspended S.P. Davis for six racedays.
L.T. McAteer, rider of Carnival Craft trained by Patrick J. McKenna, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped very quickly six furlongs from the finish.
J. Coen, rider of Lady Of Luxury trained by Eoin Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled after four furlongs.
C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Nusra trained by E. J. O'Grady, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen and stopped quickly.
The Stewards interviewed R.C. Colgan, rider of Movie King, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, R.C. Colgan stated that he had been mindful of the guidelines but he hit his mount once more when he felt him coming back under him close to the finish and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that R.C. Colgan was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended R.C. Colgan for one raceday.
R.P. Cleary, rider of Artistic Work trained by Thomas Cleary, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen during this race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Eloy D'amerval, trained by Andrew McNamara, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood on the nostril when examined post race.
The Stewards reviewed an incident about one and a half furlongs from the finish involving Eagle Terrace (GB), ridden by D. King, Coviglia, ridden by D.McMonagle and Pride Of Pimlico, ridden by R.P. Cleary, where it appeared that Coviglia ran short of room when racing between horses. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
067G Irishinjuredjockeys.com H'capSiobhan Rutledge, rider of New Moon Rising trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount was checked in the straight.
S.T. McCullagh, rider of Fox Fearless (GB) trained by Oliver McKiernan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was tight for room in the run to the finish.
C.D. Hayes, rider of Pale Ale trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount bolted going to the start and unseated the rider.
James J. Doyle, rider of Spirituoso (GB) trained by Lee Smyth, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left late in the race.
The Stewards enquired into incidents between the one furlong marker and the winning post involving Mosaaheb (GB), ridden by J.M. Sheridan, Fox Fearless (GB), ridden by S.T. McCullagh, Persian Wolf, ridden by B.M. Coen and Spirituoso (GB), ridden by James J. Doyle, where it appeared Mosaaheb (GB) drifted left towards Persian Wolf and also took the racing line of Fox Fearless (GB) which checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, S.T. McCullagh stated that his mount accelerated close to the line and had to check off the heels close to the finish when his racing line was taken. B.M. Coen stated that his mount followed Mosaaheb (GB) (J.M. Sheridan) when he began to drift left but received no interference. James J. Doyle stated that his mount which was wearing blinkers, followed Mosaaheb (GB) when he began to drift left but he straightened up close to the finish. J.M. Sheridan stated that his mount drifted left inside the final furlong without causing interference to Persian Wolf on his inner and straightened up close to the winning post. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found J.M. Sheridan was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended him for one raceday and advised him to ride with more awareness. .
