The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Anthony McCann, trainer of Lockdown (GB) (declared in error) - €320

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

J.A. Powell rode North Dorset (GB) (reserve) trained by Mrs John Harrington (Race 4)
C.D. Hayes rode Navajo River (reserve) trained by Luke Comer (Race 7)
R.P. Cleary rode Party Moon (GER) (reserve) trained by John J. Maguire (Race 8)

188A Ladies Day At Dundalk H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Catherine Of Siena, trained by Kevin Thomas Coleman, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

188B 11:11 Bang On Trend Claiming Race

N.G. McCullagh, rider of Najat (GB), trained by Donal Kinsella, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.

C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Jaafel, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was carried right in the last furlong.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Rocky Dreams (GB), trained by James McAuley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a bump about two furlongs down.

D. McMonagle, rider of Might And Mercy (GB), trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a bump about two furlongs down.

K.J. Leonard, rider of Just Another, trained by Lee Smyth, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly right throughout this race.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident about two furlongs from home, involving Rocky Dreams (GB), ridden by J.M. Sheridan, placed first, Might And Mercy (GB), ridden by D. McMonagle, placed sixth, Najat (GB), ridden by N.G. McCullagh, unplaced, and Yester, ridden by R.P. Whelan placed fourth, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, J.M. Sheridan stated that he received minimal contact. D. McMonagle stated that his mount got a slight bump which made no effect to his finishing position. N.G. McCullagh stated that his mount started to lean left when he changed hands but he felt that he corrected her quickly. R.P. Whelan stated that he was following Najat and his mount shifted slightly left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of The Fog Horn, trained by Seamus G. O'Donnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was keen in the early part of this race.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Brave Thought, trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left up the straight.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Time Tells All, trained by D. K. Weld, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

J.A. Powell, rider of North Dorset (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left up the straight.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Areana, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left turning into the straight.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. H. Hynes, that C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Numidia, had weighed in 1.1lbs over. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, C. Stone- Walsh stated that it rained on his way to the start causing the sand to stick to his clothes during the race which he felt may have attributed to him coming back in overweight. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found C. Stone- Walsh was in breach of Rule 231(iii), and having taking his previous record in this regard into account they cautioned him on this occasion.

C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Port Salalah (FR), trained by Oliver McKiernan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

S. Foley, rider of Galileo's Compass, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never let himself down on the surface.

J.A. Powell, rider of Red Special (USA), trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.

D.E. Sheehy, rider of Taxiing (USA), trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount's saddle slipped.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Galileo's Compass, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

188G Family Fun Day Tuesday August 15th Hcap

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Portunalia (USA), trained by G.M.Lyons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled leaving the stalls.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident approaching the first bend where it appeared that several horses were jostling for position. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

R.P. Whelan, rider of Rauzan, trained by M. Halford & T. Collins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount shied at the first bend.

J.A. Powell, rider of Boola Boola, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Michael William O'Meara, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Roman Bull, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Michael William O'Meara reported that his charge got completely worked up the last day at The Curragh when returning from a lay off due to a wind operation and was much more settled today and this in his opinion brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
