The Stewards requested a report from Kieran P. Cotter, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Tiny Bit, placed first, as compared with its recent run at Fairyhouse on the 10th June when finishing fifteenth of seventeen runners. Kieran P. Cotter reported that the race at Fairyhouse had two false starts, the first because of a stalls failure and the second was following an attempt to start by flag. He added that his charge had got upset having to return to the start twice and ran no race, cutting out at halfway. Furthermore the application of first time blinkers and the ease in the underfoot conditions were contributing factors to the improved performance. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Stewards enquired into an incident about one furlong from the finish involving Un Bacio Ancora, ridden by C.D. Hayes, Baby Rosabella, ridden by L.T. McAteer and Chris's Rose (GB), ridden by J. Kearney, where it appeared that Baby Rosabella got tight for room when racing close to the running rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, L.T. McAteer stated that he thought the gap was wide enough but misjudged it. C.D. Hayes stated that his mount received a bump from Baby Rosabella which was trying to go through on the inner. J. Kearney stated that he switched his whip hand to keep his mount going on a straight racing line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found that L.T. McAteer was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended him for one raceday. Ian Kearney accompanied J. Kearney at this enquiry.

The Stewards enquired into an incident about two hundred yards from the finish involving Takana, ridden by Adam Caffrey, Jedi Power, ridden by M.P. Sheehy and Our Louise, ridden by K.J. Manning stated that Takana shifted direction when the rider changed his whip hand. Adam Caffrey stated that he had used the whip in his left hand but felt his mount drift and he switched it into his right hand but drifted towards the near side. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found that Adam Caffrey was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended him for one raceday.

Kevin Borthwick accompanied J. Coen at this enquiry.

M.P. Sheehy, rider of Red Wasp trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was checked at the one furlong marker.

The Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final two hundred yards involving Little Queenie, ridden by Ciara Flynn and Red Wasp, ridden by M.P. Sheehy, where it appeared that Red Wasp checked when Little Queenie drifted onto her racing line. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, M.P. Sheehy stated that his mount broke slowly and did not help him throughout the race but when responding to the whip Little Queenie had rolled out onto Red Wasp's racing line causing a check. Ciara Flynn stated that her mount ran around on the yielding ground. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards advised Ciara Flynn to ride with more awareness.

The Stewards requested a report from James McAuley, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Sister Rosetta, placed first, as compared with its recent form. James Gough, Authorised representative of James McAuley reported that their change had been acquired through a claiming race and they were informed that she had slipped her palate. Consequently the filly had a tie forward but her initial runs post operation failed to show much improvement but today with strong handling under a change of tactics, the application of first time cheek pieces and her own positive attitude contributed to the improved performance. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Stewards interviewed L.T. McAteer, rider of Alice Milligan, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, L.T. McAteer stated that he had misjudged his use of the whip and mistakenly exceeded the guideline by one hit. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that L.T. McAteer was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his clean recent record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned L.T. McAteer on this occasion.

The Stewards requested a report from James McAuley, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Alice Milligan, placed first, as compared with its recent form. James Gough, Authorised representative of James McAuley reported that their charge was placed second in her last two runs in 2021 and sustained an injury after this. Following a break to recover, the filly reappeared at Leopardstown on the 6th April and led until headed in the straight and tired. He added that she ran two days later at Dundalk which was possibly too soon. She was given a two month break to freshen up and reappeared today. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
