The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-
Gordon Elliott, trainer of Ocean Voyage (Going) - €200103A Roadstud Installations M'dn H'dle
C. Brassil, rider of Electricitywork trained by Gary McGill, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.
S.A. Shortall, rider of On Call trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled a front shoe during this race.
The Stewards requested a report from Noel Meade, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Seeyouinvinnys, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Noel Meade reported that his charge ran lifeless and looked dull in himself when disappointing here on the 24th March. Since then he was given time to freshen up and looked very well in himself during the preliminaries today. In his opinion he felt that the break between races was the contributing factor to today's improved performance. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Electricitywork trained by Gary McGill was was found to have blood on the nose as a result of exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage.
103B Portman Dental Care H'cap H'dleThe Stewards interviewed D.E. Browne, rider of Pat's Pearl, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that D.E. Browne was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive force and R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having considered his previous record, the Stewards suspended D.E. Browne for 1 raceday.
J.M. Moore, rider of Amadeus trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was hampered when Pino Boy fell at the fourth last hurdle.
103C C Russell Auto Sales M'dn H'dleThe Stewards interviewed Mr K.M. Smith, rider of Grove Hill, concerning his use of the whip in the final four furlongs of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr K.M. Smith was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Mr K.M. Smith.
The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Empirion, trained by Matthew J. Smith, for failing to lodge the passport in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i).
103E Randox Health Tiger Roll H'cap S'chaseThe Stewards interviewed C.J. Orr, rider of Canadian Steel, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that C.J. Orr was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended C.J. Orr for 1 raceday.
103F Molson Coors M'dn Hunters S'chseThe Stewards interviewed Mr J.W. Kenny, rider of Crutches Lad, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr J.W. Kenny was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Mr J.W. Kenny.
The Stewards interviewed Mr C.M. Healy, rider of My Oakclahome, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr C.M. Healy was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency and R10(3)(i) by failing to allow his mount at least three strides to respond to the whip. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Mr C.M. Healy for 3 racedays.
Mr R.W. Barron, rider of Different Spot trained by E. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left, lost his action when racing down the hill and was pulled up.
103G Molson Coors INH Flat RaceThe Stewards fined W.P. Mullins, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Think Positive, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Think Positive in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.
The Stewards interviewed Mr J. Williams, rider of Amor Verdadero, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr J. Williams was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Mr J. Williams.
