The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Gloucester, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
173B Kildare House Hotel Irish EBF (F) M'dnThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the starting stalls involving Caught U Looking, ridden by L.F. Roche, Centuria, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, Finsceal Luas, ridden by R.P. Cleary, Nativity Square, ridden by L.T. McAteer, Opera Singer (USA), ridden by J.A. Heffernan, and Ylang Ylang (GB), ridden by R.L. Moore. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. L.F. Roche stated that his mount jumped from stalls well and he didn't receive any interference. D.P. McDonogh stated that his mount didn't shift ground. R.P. Cleary stated that his mount was having its first run and shifted marginally left on jumping and then straightened up. L.T. McAteer stated that he received pressure due to not being able to hold his position. J.A. Heffernan stated that his mount was a bit keen and got tight for two strides. R.L. Moore stated that his mount was having its first run, jumped from the stalls well after which he held his line and hoped to get a lead. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame for the incident on any individual rider and took no further action.
173C Harp Bar Kildare H'capThe Raceday Stewards interviewed Miss Kate McGivern, trainer of Fox Degree, concerning the conduct of this horse who stood in the stalls. The Raceday Stewards advised Miss Kate McGivern that a repeat performance by this horse may render it liable to suspension in future.
173D Silken Thomas & Lock 13 Apprentice DerbyThe Raceday Stewards fined W.T. Farrell, trainer €65 for failing to fit the declared Sheepskin Cheekpieces to S'all Good Man prior to entering the parade ring.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final furlong involving Queen Of Seduction, ridden by S.T. McCullagh, Votre Homme, ridden by O. Enright, Lygon Street (GER), ridden by J. Coen, and Skyquake, ridden by C. Stone-Walsh where it appeared Skyquake ran short of room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C. Stone-Walsh and J. Coen gave their evidence in the presence of Mr. K. O'Connor. S.T. McCullagh stated that his mount was off the bridle in the straight, ran around a little and changed leads as she found the ground too quick. O. Enright stated that his mount ran around a little up the straight. J. Coen stated that his mount was having only his fourth run and was still quite green but didn't cause any interference. C. Stone-Walsh stated that his mount was green and as his run was ending he got pressure from his left inside the final furlong. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards accepted that S.T. McCullagh's mount was a difficult ride and took no further action.
C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Skyquake, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he checked off heels inside the final furlong.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from A.J.Martin, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Tudor City, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that the horse's run the last day was its first run back after a break but that the horse had thrived since then. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation offered.
173F J.J. Mahon & Sons H'capThe Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the final furlong involving Mr Lincoln (GB), ridden by G.F. Carroll, placed sixth, Save Your Love, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed fourth, and Tea Olive (FR), ridden by J.A. Powell, placed fifth, where it appeared Tea Olive (FR) had to be steadied and Mr. Lincoln checked on the rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. G.F. Carroll stated that he made the running and was running on one-paced when Save Your Love quickened past him and he took a check. B. Coen stated that he dropped in and didn't pick up until the final 150 yards at which point he had nowhere to go and he could either take off heels or try to get out of it. J.A. Powell stated that it took his mount time to get rolling and he anticipated the ground closing in front of him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Save Your Love had caused interference to Mr Lincoln and Tea Olive (FR) the Raceday Stewards were satisfied he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings. They were, however, of the opinion that B.M. Coen was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden improperly and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for 7 race days.
G.F. Carroll, rider of Mr Lincoln (GB), trained by Joseph G. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran out of room in the closing stages.
R.P. Whelan, rider of Roman Hands, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount went left under pressure.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the early stages involving Eyeeye (GB), ridden by D. McMonagle, Golden Spangle, ridden by R.P. Cleary, and Tea Olive (FR), ridden by J.A. Powell. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by the slow pace and several horses running free and that no further action was warranted.
