171B Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn
The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Harannda, ridden by O.J. Orr, placed second and Thunder Beauty, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed first, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judges placings. They did however find W. J. Lee in breach of Rule 214, in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered W. J. Lee's record in this regard the stewards suspended W. J. Lee for two racedays.
O.J. Orr, rider of Harannda trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran short of room.
W.J. Lee, rider of Thunder Beauty trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount leaned left from outside the furlong pole.
171C Mongey Communications H'capS.M. Mooney, rider of Raphael (GER) trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled very hard.
171D Manguard Plus Apprentice H'capThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Edessann, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
171F Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dnThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Na Blianta Beo, trained by J. S. Bolger, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
E. Greatrex, rider of Dreaming Gold (GB) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount took a few short steps, never travelled and was pulled up.
The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. P. L. Malone, that S.P. Davis, rider of Boundless Power, was unable to draw the weight at which he weighed out. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case. Evidence was also heard from Mr. John James Feane, trainer. Both the trainer and rider were unable to explain how the discrepancy had occurred. The Stewards disqualified Boundless Power in accordance with Rule 231 and took no further action.
The amended result now reads;

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Sir Dragonet, ridden by E.J. McNamara, placed second and Armory, ridden by P.B. Beggy, placed fourth, where it appeared that Sir Dragonet moved out causing interference to Armory. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found E. J. McNamara in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered E.J. McNamara's record in this regard the Stewards suspended E. J. McNamara for two racedays.
