N.M. Crosse, rider of Alexander John trained by Luke Comer, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had to check inside the final furlong.

324B SP Or Better Guaranteed With Tote M'dn

W.M. Lordan, rider of Xchanger trained by Natalia Lupini, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered interference leaving the stalls.

The Stewards enquired into an incident about two furlongs from the finish involving Painters Palette, ridden by D.W. O'Connor, and Vocal Studies, ridden by K.J. Manning. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence D.W. O'Connor stated that he was upsides Vocal Studies and just travelling ok when that animal was looking for room to get out. K.J. Manning stated that Painters Palette was fading away when he switched his own mount out to deliver a challenge. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found that K.J. Manning was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered his record in this regard, the Stewards suspended him for one raceday.

At the request of the Stewards, B.M. Coen, rider of Good Time Jonny, trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was slowly away.

The Stewards reviewed an incident soon after the start involving Xchanger, ridden by W.M. Lordan, Painters Palette, ridden by D.W. O'Connor, Vocal Studies, ridden by K.J. Manning, and Runhoney, ridden by J.A Powell. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

324C Barberstown Castle (Fillies) M'dn

At the request of the Stewards, N.G. McCullagh, rider of Second Fiddle, trained by C.P.Donoghue, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was very slowly away.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Cyclamen, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

At the request of the Stewards, W.M. Lordan, rider of Cyclamen, trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount did not handle the ground.

D. McMonagle, rider of Lizzy's Filly trained by Ciaran Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount slipped after a couple of strides from the start.

The Stewards enquired into the circumstances surrounding the failure of N.G. McCullagh, rider, to comply with a reasonable request from a Steward's Secretary to forward a report as required under Rule 213 in relation to the slow start of his mount Second Fiddle. N.G. McCullagh apologised for his attitude towards the Steward's Secretary and accepted his obligations to comply with any reasonable request when approached by a Racing Official and furthermore his responsibility to comply with the provisions of Rule 213. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards noted the apology on behalf of the Steward's Secretary. In view of N.G. McCullagh's very good previous record in this regard, the Stewards took no further action.

324D Hatstone Waterford Testimonial Stakes

The Stewards interviewed R.P Cleary, rider of Life In Colour (GB), concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence R.P. Cleary accepted he was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) frequency and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered his record the Stewards cautioned R.P. Cleary on this occasion.

D. McMonagle, rider of Pretty Rebel trained by Gerard O'Leary, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount rolled around when she got to the front.

324E Tote Always SP Amateur Derby (Q.R.) Race

The Stewards interviewed Mr F. Maguire, rider of Falcon Eight, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, Mr F. Maguire stated that his mount was hanging badly in behind the leaders but responded to his urgings to take the lead and run on to the finish. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr F. Maguire was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Mr F. Maguire on this occasion.

324F Comer International Loughbrown Stakes

W.J. Lee, rider of Beamish (FR) trained by P. Twomey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got very tired on the ground.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Mighty Blue (FR) trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount met with interference in the straight and got pressure from her outside.

G.P. Halpin, rider of Scenic Look trained by Adrian Murray, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for room turning into the straight and met with interference.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Lismore, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have slight heat stress post race.

The Stewards enquired into an incident on the turn into the straight involving Baron Samedi (GB), ridden by D. McMonagle, Azallya, ridden by D.W. O'Connor, Lismore, ridden by C.T. Keane, Mighty Blue (FR), ridden by D.P. McDonogh, and Scenic Look, ridden by G.P. Halpin where it appeared that there were incidents when Lismore was losing ground quickly. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, G.P. Halpin stated that his own mount was going nowhere when Lismore stopped in front of him and came back into his racing line. C.T. Keane stated that his mount picked up for a few strides when racing down the hill but was going nowhere suddenly when other runners came around his filly and he took her back out of the race. D.W. O'Connor stated that his mount was going well when switching in for a suitable gap but quickly found that his filly was not good enough to take it and he took her back out of it. D.P. McDonogh stated that his mount ran up behind horses and received pressure from the outside. D. McMonagle stated that he had to take his mount around Lismore which was stopping quickly. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was accidental in nature, and they took no further action.

324G TRI Equestrian H'cap

At the request of the Stewards, C.T. Keane, rider of Facethepuckout, trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount may not have handled the ground.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Facethepuckout, trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards reviewed an incident at the start involving Georgeta (GB), ridden by J. Kearney which broke from stalls of its own accord. The Stewards and J. Kearney viewed all footage of the incident and all persons were satisfied that Georgeta (GB) had struck the stalls with her head causing them to open. Having viewed the recording of the start and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

324H Play The Tote Exacta On Every Race H'cap

J.A. Powell, rider of Dragons Call trained by John James Feane, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost its action behind.

The Stewards requested a report from K.J. Condon, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Sounds Of Spring, placed first, as compared with its recent form. K.J. Condon stated that his charge was drawn wide in a big field of runners and got lost the previous day and the reapplication of blinkers today after a period of nineteen months may have brought about the improved performance. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
