The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Guaranteed, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed first and Mount Tabora (USA), ridden by R.L. Moore, placed second, where it appeared that the horses made contact . Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action. Mr Peter N. Reynolds, Acting Steward, absented himself from this enquiry.

S. Foley, rider of Archaeology (GB) trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was slowly away from stalls and ran very green throughout the race.

193D Jebel Ali Racecourse Anglesey Stakes

The Stewards interviewed James Doyle, rider of Marie's Diamond, following a post race veterinary report from Dr Lynn Hillyer M.R.C.V.S, Chief Veterinary Officer of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board. Evidence was heard from Dr Lynn Hillyer M.R.C.V.S and from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race, photographic evidence presented by Dr Hillyer and considered the evidence of the rider, the Stewards were of the opinion that James Doyle was in breach of R10(3)(e) by hitting his horse other than down the shoulder or on the hind quarters and R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive force. Having taken his good previous record into consideration the Stewards suspended him for 1 raceday.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Magic Wand, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

A.P.O'Brien, trainer of Magic Wand, reported to the Office of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board on Monday 23rd July that his charge was found to have a dirty nose post race.

193G Boodles Ladies Derby H'cap

The Stewards enquired into reason for the withdrawal of Inis Meain, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan after the deadline time for withdrawals in accordance with Rule 194. The trainer stated that he confirmed the availability of Miss E. Dunne and declared her to ride at the appropriate time yesterday and furthermore informed the declarations department that the rider also expected to carry overweight of 2lbs. He added that Miss Dunne had some weight to lose but made contact this morning to say that she felt unwell from trying to lose the weight and furthermore that she did not feel healthy enough to ride. He stated that he tried to secure a replacement rider but the weight of 9st 7lbs left him with no suitable rider and therefore he had no alternative but to withdraw the horse. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards did not take any action against Denis Gerard Hogan but referred the matter of the riders acceptance to ride and subsequent failure to do so to the CEO of the IHRB for further investigation.

The Stewards informed Gavin Cromwell, trainer that Breathe Easy, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
