Orr, rider of Rocky's Howya, trained by James Daniel Dullea, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was green and outpaced early on and became a bit unbalanced when he came off the bridle before running on well to the line.
P. Townend, rider of Grand Bornand (FR) trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled too hard early on.
F.J. Hayes, rider of Nananinety, trained by Donal Commins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his saddle moved forward marginally.
337B I.N.H. Stallion Owners EBF M'dn H'dleP.T. Enright, rider of Pepite De Belle (GB) trained by S. Curling, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake three out.
At the request of the Stewards, G.B. Noonan, rider of Cooline Bluebell, trained by Paul O'Flynn, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount is keen at home and was dropped in today to get her to settle, but she found nothing off the bridle.
The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Fahrenheit De Lecu (FR), ridden by J.J. Slevin, and trained by James Joseph Mangan. Evidence was heard from the rider and from Patrick Murphy, Authorised Representative for the trainer. J.J. Slevin, stated that his instructions were to get his mount to settle and finish out it's race well. He added that his mount was keen early and took a while to settle and was also slow and cautious over these hurdles. He also stated that his mount missed the fourth last and met with interference in the home straight. Patrick Murphy, confirmed the instructions given and expressed his satisfaction with the ride. He further added that the animal is still very green and can be very free at home. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, who stated that Fahrenheit De Lecu was coughing post race. Samples were taken for analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, including the veterinary report, the Stewards noted the explanations given.
The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Mammy Shark, ridden by A. McCurtin, and trained by John J. Walsh. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. A. McCurtin, stated that his instructions were to drop in, settle his mount and to do the best he could. He said his mount travelled well early on and jumped big at times before being outpaced before the turn in at which point he continued to make the best of his way home. John J. Walsh, confirmed the instructions given and expressed his satisfaction with the ride. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, who stated that Mammy Shark was post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations given.
337D Kevin McManus Bookmaker H'cap H'dleThe Stewards interviewed D.J. McInerney, rider of Beyond The Law, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found D. J.McInerney in breach of both Regulation 10.3.(g), excessive frequency and 10.3.(f), excessive force. Having considered D. J. McInerney's record in this regard, the Stewards suspended him for three racedays.
A. McCurtin, rider of No Memory trained by William Coleman O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left throughout.
The Stewards interviewed Thomas P.O'Connor, trainer of Lilshane, concerning the conduct of his charge who refused to race. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned. Having considered the evidence and the animals previous record in this regard, the Stewards suspended Lilshane for sixty days in accordance with the provisions of Rule 14(iii).
337E Irish Stallion Farms EBF(Mares)Beg. S'chOwing to the trajectory of the sun, the Stewards granted permission for fence eight to be omitted from this race.
At the request of the Stewards, R.J. Condon, rider of Cash Me Outside, trained by Paul Nolan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount jumped badly right at the final three fences.
337F Mallow H'cap S'chaseThe Stewards interviewed Jack Brendan Foley, rider of Dakota Moirette (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Jack Brendan Foley in breach of Regulation 10.3.(g), excessive frequency and 10.3.(h), above shoulder height. Having considered Jack Brendan Foley's record in this regard the Stewards suspended Jack Brendan Foley for four racedays.
