The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

D. K. Weld, trainer of Insaan (off feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

A.J. Slattery rode Weather Alert (reserve), trained by Thomas Mullins (Race 5)
R.C. Colgan rode English Pale (reserve), trained by S.J.Mahon (Race 8)
O.J. Orr rode Mufarrej (GB) (reserve), trained by D. K. Weld (Race 5)

276A Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction (F) M'dn

S. Foley, rider of Mutiny trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount struggled on the ground.

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms. Avena O'Keeffe, that J.M. Sheridan, rider of Rock Chica, had presented himself to weigh out at 3lbs overweight having declared a possible 2lbs overweight at declaration time. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, in the presence of Tom Mullins, trainer, who accompanied J.M. Sheridan. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards allowed the overweight on this occasion having consulted with the trainer. Furthermore, the Stewards were satisfied that J.M. Sheridan was in breach of Rule 195(i) and Rule 198(vii) and having considered his record in this regard, they suspended him for 3 racedays.

J.G. O'Neill, authorised representative for John M. Oxx, trainer of Clockers Corner, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge disappointed and stopped very quickly.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Clockers Corner, trained by John M. Oxx, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race. Samples were taken for analysis.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Beckwith Place, trained by Tracey Collins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Weather Alert trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his saddle slipped .

276E Navigation Stakes

D. O'Brien, rider of Amedeo Modigliani trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got no run.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Amedeo Modigliani, ridden by D. O'Brien, placed fourth, Laughifuwant, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed third, Pincheck, ridden by S. Foley, placed second and Up Helly Aa, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed first, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tracing, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

276G Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

A.J. Slattery, rider of Penny Out trained by John E. Kiely, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stood in the stalls and was slow to race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Alice Milligan, trained by W. McCreery, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

T.P. Madden, rider of Bog War trained by Liam P Cusack, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

W.J. Lee, rider of Alice Milligan trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran off the first bend and never travelled thereafter.

The Stewards interviewed G.P. Brouder, rider of You'llfindandsee, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency. Having taking his previous record in this regard into account the Stewards suspended G.P. Brouder for 2 racedays.
