The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Idoles Des Jeunes (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at both nostrils post race.

J.S. McGarvey, rider of Ayda (FR) trained by John Joseph Hanlon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stood momentarily when the tapes went up.

P.J. O'Hanlon, rider of Very Excellent trained by Andrew McNamara, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran too keen today.

A. McCurtin, rider of Kilmurry Jj trained by Michael Barry, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered by a faller 3 out

Peter Maher, trainer of Lucy Van Pelt, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge was showing signs of being in season post race

220E Kanturk H'cap H'dle

S.W. Flanagan, rider of Sargent Lightfoot trained by Adrian Murray, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was very slowly away from the start.

220F The Buy Tickets Online H'dle

The Stewards interviewed Niamh Yeates, Authorised representative for W.P. Mullins, trainer of Stratum, following their failure to nominate a suitable replacement rider for their charge in this race which subsequently led to the animal being withdrawn by order of the Stewards. Niamh Yeates stated that they wanted to use Kieran Callaghan who was a 7lb claimer and did not account for their refusal to nominate a more like for like rider despite being requested to do so by the Stewards, who declined their request for Kieran Callaghan under the provisions of Regulation 3. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that W.P. Mullins was in breach of Rule 13(b) by failing to comply with a reasonable request from a racing official and having considered his record in this regard, they fined him €500.

The Stewards enquired into an incident turning into the home straight involving Beasley Street, ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, Moresby Buoy, ridden by Mr D. O'Connor, and Silver Gazette, ridden by Mr H.C. Swan where it appeared Silver Gazette clipped a heel and fell as a result. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr.H.C. Swan stated that he suffered a bump from his outside which caused him to slip up. Mr. D. O'Connor, stated that he kept a straight line and there wasn't any room for Mr Swans horse to go into the gap. Mr.P.W. Mullins stated that he kept a straight line an he did not feel there was enough room for Mr Swans horse to go there. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found that Mr H.C. Swan, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard the Stewards suspended him for 2 racedays.
