299A RED MILLS Irish EBF Auction M'dn H'dle
Rachael Blackmore, rider of Knockmoylan trained by Miss Ellmarie Holden, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount jumped poorly throughout.
The Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Family Business, ridden by C.P. McNamara, and trained by Donal Coffey. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. C.P. McNamara, stated that his instructions were to drop his mount in and get her to settle, as she can be keen and consequently was wearing a hood today. He stated that in hind sight he would have done things differently and ridden his mount closer to the pace as he felt that the race had gotten away from him down the back and his mount then stayed on strongly. Donal Coffey, stated that he was satisfied with the ride that his charge had received. Donal Coffey was accompanied by Ms. Paula Coffey. The Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Family Business was post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations given.
299C Thank You To The Frontline H'cap H'dleThe Stewards interviewed J. R. Barry, trainer of Abyssinian, concerning the late arrival of his charge into the parade ring. J. R. Barry stated that he had difficulty getting the tack and tongue tie on his charge, which had caused the delay. Having considered the evidence the Stewards took no further action other than to remind J. R. Barry of his responsibilities in this regard.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ballyadam Destiny (GB), trained by Terence O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
Rachael Blackmore, rider of Ballyadam Destiny (GB) trained by Terence O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount hung right throughout.
At the request of the Stewards, K.C. Sexton, rider of Twilight Girl, trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was very keen and they had gone no gallop and when they quickened his mount was then tapped for toe but finished very strongly.
299D Mallow H'cap H'dleThe Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms. Avena O'Keeffe, that Adam Williams, rider of Wild Desire, had presented himself to weigh out at four pounds in excess of his declared two pounds overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of rule 195 and rule 198 and having considered Adam Williams record in this regard the Stewards fined him €150 on this occasion. Furthermore, the stewards denied the request for Adam Williams to ride with the overweight and they granted a request from the trainers authorised representative, Ms. Ciara Walsh, to substitute the nominated rider with G. Brouder.
299E Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Daybreak Boy, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
299F coopsuperstores.ie H'cap S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Debuchet (FR), trained by Ms Margaret Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
P. Townend, rider of Debuchet (FR) trained by Ms Margaret Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount could not lie up.
299G Cork (Pro-Am) INH Flat RaceR.J. Condon, rider of Nancy Miles trained by T. Donohue, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left all the way.
The Stewards interviewed Mr T. Power Roche, rider of Costalotmore, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Mr. T. Power Roche in breach of regulation 10.3 (g), excessive frequency and 10.3 (i), time to respond. Having considered Mr. T. Power Roche's record in this regard the Stewards suspended Mr. T. Power Roche for three days.
299H Fermoy H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Lightsider, trained by Padraig Roche, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
