The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fons Vivus, trained by Padraig Butler, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a wound on her left fore coronary band, otherwise was post race normal.
At the request of the Stewards, Rachael Blackmore, rider of Fons Vivus, trained by Padraig Butler, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that her mount stopped quickly and was pulled up.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Knockbrack Lady trained by M.F.Morris was noted to have blood at both nostrils post race.
R.A. Doyle, rider of Knockbrack Lady trained by M.F.Morris, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not handle the ground.
J.C. Gainford, rider of North Of Nashville trained by Colin Bowe, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was never happy on the ground.
P.T. Enright, rider of Good As Hell trained by Philip Fenton, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.
086D Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners S'chJ.B. Foley, rider of Global Society (GB) trained by Mrs Prunella Dobbs, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled during this race.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Grain De Folie (FR) trained by John C. McConnell, which bolted on the way to the start and was withdrawn from this race, was noted to have blood at both nostrils when returning to the unsaddling enclosure.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Silvertown, trained by Gavin Cromwell, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
The Stewards enquired into the riding of C.D. Maxwell where he continued to ride his mount Silvertown over the final three fences when the animal was tailed off and appeared to be tired. C.D. Maxwell stated that his mount was struggling to go with the pace of the race but jumped very carefully and gained confidence. He added that his mount was not giving his best on the heavy ground but he was satisfied to just let him finish the race in his own time. He apologised for his actions and felt in hindsight that he should have pulled his mount up before the last fence. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that C.D. Maxwell was in breach of Rule 272(i). Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended C.D. Maxwell for three racedays.
J.C. Canavan, rider of Doyenotheline trained by L.J.Archdeacon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost his action suddenly and was pulled up.
086E BARONERACING.COM S'chaseThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Daly Tiger (FR) trained by Noel Meade was noted to have blood at both nostrils possibly as a result of his fall.
086G Velvet Cap H'cap H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Nathaniel's Dream (GB), trained by A.J.Martin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
D.J. McInerney, rider of One For Joe trained by C.Byrnes, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled on the ground.
086H Jim Ryan Services (Pro-Am) INH Flat RaceThe Stewards interviewed Mr R.W. Barron, rider of Suain Na Draoicht, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, Mr R.W. Barron accepted that he had used his whip with his arm above shoulder height and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr R.W. Barron was in breach of R10(3)(h) by using his whip with his arm above shoulder height. Having taken his clean previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned Mr R.W. Barron on this occasion.
