The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

M. Horsman rode Eddierocket (reserve) trained by Norman Lee (Race 4)
P. Byrnes rode I Am Spider Man (reserve) trained by C.Byrnes (Race 6)
F. Maguire rode Pipers Boreen (reserve) trained by Shane Nolan (Race 8)

114A Tote Always SP Or Better (M) M'dn H'dle

The Raceday Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Rare Millie, trained by Una Corcoran, for failing to present the horse for identification to an Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i).

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Stormie Outlook, trained by E. J. O'Grady, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

J.J. Doyle, rider of Ned's Legacy, trained by P.M.J.Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left down the hill.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, J.P. O'Sullivan, rider of Yara Greyjoy, trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount went lame and was pulled up.

114B Tote Fantasy In Your Stable H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards fined Mary Ellen Doyle, trainer, €65 for fitting cheek pieces instead of the declared blinkers to Francois (FR). The trainer subsequently removed the cheek pieces and fitted blinkers.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Betty Dutton, trained by E. J. O'Grady, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

114C Camida Perfect Chemistry Novice H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after the last hurdle involving Gentleman Joe (GB),ridden by Rachael Blackmore, placed first, and Estepona Sun (GB), ridden by P. Byrnes, placed third, where it appeared that Estepona Sun had to switch. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. P. Byrnes, stated that Gentleman Joe did cross him after the last, but he was clear of him at the time. Rachael Blackmore, stated that on jumping the last upsides she had gone past Estepona Sun when she moved right towards the rail and was confident that she was clear of him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.

114D Clonmel Racecourse (C&G) M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined All In Peder (FR), trained by Emmet Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

S. O'Callaghan, rider of Longagoanfarbehind (FR), trained by Seamus Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped poorly and was pulled up.

114E2 Camida The Source H'cap H'dle

C.D. Maxwell, rider of Stealing Kisses, trained by Paul Stafford, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly and was subsequently pulled up.

T.N. Brett, rider of Lough Na Fooey, trained by L.Young, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mounts saddle slipped forcing him to pull up.

K. Callaghan, rider of Ventnor, trained by James M. Barcoe, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didn't travel and pulled up.

114F The Talbot Hotel Clonmel H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Stilyker, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

G.B. Noonan, rider of Punters Poet, trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount failed to respond when horses passed him.

114G Next Meeting June 9th (M) INH Flat Race

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Miss M. O'Sullivan, rider of Colleen Danu, trained by P.A.Fahy, concerning her riding in the closing stages where she appeared to ease her mount prematurely losing second place as a result. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that she mistook the 50 yard marker for the winning post. Having viewed the recording and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Miss. M. O' Sullivan was in breach of R212 A (iv) by easing her mount without good reason and having considered her record in this regard they suspended her for 5 racedays.
