The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D. P. Holden replaced D.J. McInerney on Knockmoylan, trained by Miss Ellmarie Holden (Race 7)(Injured).
D. P. Davis rode Cast Iron (reserve), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien (Race 1).
T. Ryan rode Dedanann (reserve), trained by John Patrick Ryan (Race 6)
I. J. McCarthy rode Pairc Na Ngael (reserve), trained by R.P.Burns (Race 6).
T. Joseph Kelly replaced B. Browne on One For Susie, trained by Mervyn Torrens (Race 3)(Stood down).

098A Ballinrobe Racecourse Centenary Mdn Hdle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Gee Rex, trained by Emmet Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Hammersmith, trained by J.A. Nash, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

A.M. King, rider of Cullaghs Star trained by Seamus Fahey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right and jumped poorly. Having considered the report and viewed the recording of the race the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was deemed necessary.

G. Brouder, rider of Hammersmith trained by J.A. Nash, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.

098B Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap H'dle

At the request of the Stewards, D.P. Maxwell, rider of Justice Ears, trained by David Peter Dunne, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount is a difficult ride and he was instructed to jump off five or six lengths last and get it to settle.

098C Join tote.ie M'dn H'dle

The Stewards fined Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, trainer, €65 for fitting a tongue tie which had not been declared at declaration time to Look Dont Touch, prior to entering the parade ring. The Stewards subsequently ordered its removal.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Champagne Sparkles (FR), trained by Mrs Denise Foster, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race. Samples were taken for further analysis.

J.C. Gainford, rider of Champagne Sparkles (FR) trained by Mrs Denise Foster, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hated the ground and was never going.

098D1 Wish You Were Here Opportunity Hcap Hdle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Hill Of Keash, trained by David Peter Dunne, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be showing mild signs of heat stress post race, slow recovery post race and to have pulled its left fore shoe.

The Stewards enquired into an incident turning out of the home straight for the final lap involving Crack On Corrie, ridden by D.J. Hand, unplaced, Hill Of Keash, ridden by M. Hamill, unplaced, Johanna Yeats, ridden by A. McCurtin, placed fifth and Stadius, ridden by T.N. Brett, unplaced, where it appeared that Johanna Yeats and Stadius both had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. J. Hand stated that his mount jumped right and when he heard the other riders shout he moved out. M. Hamill stated that his mount was going backwards and he did not think that he contributed to the incident. T. N. Brett stated that he got tight for room and checked off the heels of the horse in front of him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards could not apportion blame to any rider and they therefore took no further action.

Adrian Murray, trainer of My Newbrook Rose, reported to the Office of the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board that his charge was found to be in season post race.

098E Donnelly's Of Barna Beginners S'chase

The Stewards fined F.Costello, trainer, €65 for failing to fit the declared cheek pieces to Masterstonemason, prior to entering the parade ring.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Rocket Lad, trained by Emmet Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

098F Supermac's H'cap S'chase

The Stewards received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Starter, Mr. J. R. Banahan, that C.D. Maxwell, rider of The Echo Boy, J.C. Gainford, rider of Recent Revelations, P.E. Corbett, rider of Argumental, M. Hamill, rider of Veneziano Springs (FR), M. Bolger, rider of Ciankyle and H. Morgan, rider of Champagne Beauty had failed to obey his instructions at the start of this race, resulting in a false start. Evidence was heard from the starter and riders concerned. Mr. J. R. Banahan stated that as it was tight going out onto the track he instructed the riders to walk over to the rail and to walk to the marker poles. He added that the riders on the inside disobeyed these instructions and confirmed this in the video footage. C. D. Maxwell accepted that he had disobeyed the starters instructions and apologised to Mr. Banahan. J. C. Gainford accepted that he had failed to comply with the starters instructions. P. E. Corbett stated that he had disobeyed the starters instructions. M. Hamill stated that his mount was very fractious coming out onto the track but accepted that he was in breach of the rule. H. Morgan stated that his mount was difficult at the start but accepted that he was in breach of the rule. M. Bolger accepted that he was in breach of the rule and added that he could hear the starter loud and clear. Having viewed the recording and listened to the audio of the start and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that C. D. Maxwell, J. C. Gainford, P. E, Corbett, M. Hamill, M. Bolger and H. Morgan were all in breach of Rule 208. Having considered their respective records in this regard the Stewards suspended the above riders for one raceday. In arriving at their decision, the Stewards acknowledged the honesty of all the riders concerned and were satisfied that the penalty imposed was proportionate.

098G Connaught (Ladies Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Miss P.B. Newman, rider of Cry Of The Dreamer, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that she was in breach of the regulation and apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Miss. P. B. Newman was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered Miss. P. B. Newman's record in this regard the Stewards cautioned her on this occasion.

Ms L. O'Neill, rider of Mr Caplan trained by Mrs Denise Foster, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount was too keen early on and blew up as a consequence.
