242A Adare Manor Opportunity M'dn H'dle

The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of High Five Milan, trained by Patrick G.Kelly, for failing to present the animal on time, in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i).

The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Jj Nester, trained by Robert Widger, for failing to present the animal on time, in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i).

The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Calcite, trained by Patrick G.Kelly, for failing to present the animal on time, in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i).

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Grozni (FR), trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Timourid trained by Denis Gerard Hogan was found to have a wound to its left fore pastern and to be lame on its left fore.

S.A. Mulcahy, rider of Grozni (FR) trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left and jumped left at several flights.

M.P. O'Connor, rider of Delikklemunchkin trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped novicey.

242B Hollymount Nursing Home H'cap H'dle

The Stewards reviewed an incident turning for home involving Flying Scotsman, ridden by M.P. Walsh, placed first, Varna Gold, ridden by J.G. Gilligan, placed second and Baltinglass Hill, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, placed fifth, where it appeared that Baltinglass Hill got tight for room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Stewards enquired into an incident turning out of the home straight involving Flying Scotsman, ridden by M.P. Walsh, placed first and Crescent Lake (GB), ridden by C.P. McNamara, unplaced, where it appeared that Cresent Lake got tight for room and hit the rails. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M. P. Walsh stated that his mount was slow at the flight and jumped slightly left and he then held his line back to the rail as he was not aware that a horse had gone down his inner. C. P. McNamara stated that he jumped the flight very well but did not want to go down the inner, and the horses on his outer came in and he got tight for room and hit the rail. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that M. P. Walsh was in breach of Rule 214, in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered M. P. Walsh's record in this regard the Stewards suspended M. P. Walsh for two racedays. Furthermore, the Stewards were satisfied that C. P. McNamara was in breach of Rule 272(ii), (misleading information or false evidence). Having considered C. P. McNamara's record in this regard the Stewards reminded C. P McNamara of his responsibilities to give true and accurate evidence during enquiries and they cautioned him on this occasion.

242D1 Ballinrobe Centenary Year H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Cornhill Lass, trained by Thomas Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race and also showing signs of being in season. Samples were taken for further analysis.

A.W. Short, rider of Moylass trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up lame.

242D2 Ballinrobe Centenary Year H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined I Don't Get It, trained by Neill McCluskey, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame left fore.

E. Walsh, rider of I Don't Get It trained by Neill McCluskey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

J.C. Gainford, rider of Callaghy Rose trained by Mrs Denise Foster, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

242F Ballinrobe Water Towers Beginners Schase

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Siberian Star (GB), trained by P.J. Rothwell, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

S.W. Flanagan, rider of La Tektor (FR) trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up lame.
