The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:
M.J. Kenneally replaced E. Staples on Parkgarve, trained by Ian Patrick Donoghue (Race 3)(injured).298A Willis Towers Watson M'dn H'dle
P.T. Enright, rider of Thirsty Work (GB), trained by Oliver McKiernan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his saddle slipped.
C.M. Quirke, rider of Miss Guiry, trained by David Harry Kelly, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that as he was showing the show hurdle to his mount, he jumped it from a standstill. The Raceday Stewards reviewed the video evidence and were satisfied that no further action was warranted. .
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Likealightswitch, trained by Adrian Sexton, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis.
298B Gowran Park Racing Club M'dn H'dleR.A. Berry, rider of Grandioso, trained by J.A.Berry, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, G. Brouder, rider of Pavilion End (GB), trained by Charles O'Brien, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount emptied and got tired after jumping big at the second last.
298C William Hill Challenge Series Hcap HdleK.M. Donoghue, rider of Matt Connor, trained by J.P.Dempsey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he lost his position going to two out.
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Matt Connor, ridden by K.M. Donoghue, and trained by J.P.Dempsey. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. K.M. Donoghue stated his instructions were to jump off in the middle of the pack, get him jumping and ride him to come home. He added he ended up too far back after there were three riders unseated at the first so he was riding for luck after that. He further added that Matt Connor jumped well and travelled ok throughout but after getting tight for room on the run to the second last he rode him to get him to run on at the line. J.P.Dempsey confirmed the instructions given saying he was happy with the horse and riders performance having seen the melee at the first. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations given by the rider and trainer.
298D EBF Pat Walsh Memorial (Mares) H'dleThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that The Great Nudie trained by Colin Bowe had blood at the left nostril post race.
298E William Hill Challenge Series Hcap HdleSam Ewing, rider of Sign From Above, trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount wandered about after the last.
S.D. Torrens, rider of Arctic Flame, trained by Patrick T. Foley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran short of room close to the finish. The Raceday Stewards reviewed the video evidence and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
