The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

A. W. Short replaced C.A. Landers on Western Sea, trained by Ross O'Sullivan (Race 2)(Injured).
G. B. Noonan replaced C.A. Landers on Sir Pimpernel, trained by P.J. Rothwell (Race 4)(Injured).

043A Irish Stallion Farms EBF(Mares)Beg. S'ch

At the request of the Stewards, P.T. Enright, rider of Direct Image, trained by Robert Tyner, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a bad mistake which caused him to lose his irons.

043B Urlingford Rated Steeplechase

M.P. Walsh, rider of Steer Clear trained by Padraig Roche, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Steer Clear, trained by Padraig Roche, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at it's nostrils post race as a result of exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage.

043C thurles.ie M'dn H'dle

B. Hayes, rider of Satin Sun trained by James Daniel Dullea, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a respiratory noise in running.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Satin Sun, trained by James Daniel Dullea, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

At the request of the Stewards, R.M. Power, rider of Onlyhuman, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount travelled down the hill very well and he felt he was going to win but his mount emptied very quickly approaching the last which caused him to make a mistake at it and finish very tired.

043D Killinan H'cap H'dle

M.J. Bolger, rider of Vitudurum trained by Joseph G. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran short of room turning into the home straight.

M.A. Enright, rider of Shes Gold trained by Thomas Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the scales that his mount was badly hampered at the first hurdle in the back straight.

The Stewards requested a report from James Daniel Dullea, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Chalky White, placed first, as compared with its recent form. James Daniel Dullea stated that his charge is a big raw horse that had benefitted from its previous runs and he felt that todays race was a drop in class and his charge had handled todays going particularly well. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.

Sean O. O'Brien, trainer of Johnny Little Legs, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge pulled a hind shoe.

The Stewards enquired into an incident at the first hurdle in the back straight involving Uno Momento, ridden by D. Meyler, unplaced, Mattie's Mountain, ridden by B.J. Foley, placed fourth, Calibrator, ridden by M.P. Fogarty, unplaced, Shes Gold, ridden by M.A. Enright, unplaced and Sir Pimpernel, ridden by G. B. Noonan, unplaced, where it appeared that Calibrator and Shes Gold ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards noted the explanations given and they took no further action.

043G Fethard INH Flat Race

Under the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Milliway, trained by J.P. O'Keeffe, as the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. Furthermore they informed the trainer that Milliway would be ineligible to run until the error is corrected to the satisfaction of the IHRB Veterinary Officer and any period of suspension imposed has expired.

Mr J.J. Codd, rider of Curlew Hill trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not handle today's going.
