The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

John C. McConnell, trainer of Ask Bob (Off Feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

P.T. Enright rode Ruby Jules (GB) (reserve) trained by Paul John Gilligan (Race 1)

241A New You Clinic (Mares) M'dn H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Vadsa Queen, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

P. Townend, rider of Vadsa Queen, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a mistake three out and stopped quickly.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, P.M. O'Brien, rider of Letters To Juliet, trained by Patrick Downey, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was outpaced early and ran on past tired horses.

At the request of the Raceday Stewards, J.S. McGarvey, rider of Sheemore, trained by Cian Michael Collins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount raced green in the early part of the race and ran on past tired horses.

241B Aidan Moffitt Memorial H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from C.Byrnes, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Redwood Queen, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Charles Byrnes, stated that both today's more suitable surface and riding the mare more patiently today helped to contribute to the improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer Ms Emma Costello reported to the Raceday Stewards that Goodie Girl trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin was showing signs of being in season post race.

241C Hankook Pearse Rd Tyres M'dn H'dle

B. Hayes, rider of Rule The Wind, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left.

D.J. O'Keeffe, rider of Wild River Fall, trained by Victor Wilson, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount bucked and plunged when the tapes were released and refused to start.

D.P. Maxwell, rider of Clancys Bar, trained by Adrian Murray, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount which pulled up had burst a blood vessel. This was subsequently confirmed by the IHRB Veterinary Officer and also that the horse had an injury to its right fore tendon.

241D Kevin Egan Cars H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after the third last hurdle involving Dragon's Pass, ridden by K.E Buckley, placed second, and Gendarme, ridden by P. Byrnes, unplaced where it appeared an incident may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence K.E. Buckley stated that after jumping the third last hurdle he was holding his racing line when after several attempts by P. Byrnes to angle out, he felt that P. Byrnes had struck him on the head with his left arm. P. Byrnes stated that he felt he was being kept in by K.E. Buckley and that he was riding loosely where it may appear that he struck K.E. Buckley with his left arm. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found that P. Byrnes was in breach of Rule 214 in that they had ridden improperly, and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for 12 racedays.

K.E Buckley, rider of Dragon's Pass, trained by Mrs Denise Foster, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he felt that he was struck by P. Byrnes's left arm after the third last hurdle.

241E Francie 'Banger' Burns H'cap H'dle

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend after the third last hurdle involving Moonovercloon, ridden by J. Smith, placed first, Arctic Ambition, ridden by J.W. Kennedy, placed third, Diamondinthemud, ridden by S.W. Flanagan,unplaced, and Game And Glory, ridden by P.J. O'Hanlon, placed second, where it appeared Diamondinthemud ran out of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, S.W. Flanagan stated that after jumping the third last hurdle he was going backwards when he got tightened up on the rail. J. Smith stated that he rode into a gap after the third last hurdle and that it got tight for room on the bend. J.W. Kennedy stated that he was holding his line after the third last hurdle and that it got tight for room on the bend. P.J. O'Hanlon stated that he was on the outside and had no involvement in any scrimmaging. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards could not apportion blame to any rider and they took no further action.

241F Adare Manor Opportunity H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dinoland (FR), trained by John C. McConnell, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

B.W. Harvey, rider of Dinoland (FR), trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped very quickly and pulled up.

K. Callaghan, rider of Oldtown To Emly, trained by K.A. Heffernan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not handle the ground.
