The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D.E.Splaine replaced F.A. McCurtin on Scamaill Liath, trained by S.M O'Donoghue (Race 5)(injured).

008A Festival Hospitality From #99 Beg. S'ch

P.T. Enright, rider of Forever Gold, trained by Edward Cawley, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was settled towards the rear and held together to get the trip in the conditions.

D.G. Hogan, rider of Missie Ella, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount jumpd left and hung left in running.

008B Martinstown Opportunity H'cap S'chase

The Stewards interviewed P.A.Fahy, trainer of Treacy's Star, regarding the late arrival of the horse into the Parade Ring. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the trainer was in breach of Rule 32, having failed to have his charge in the parade ring at a reasonable time before the signal to mount was given and having considered his record, the trainer was fined €100 and reminded of his future responsibilities in this regard.

008C Conyngham Cup (QR) H'cap S'chase

The Stewards fined E. Bolger, trainer, €130 for lodging a passport in respect of Keep On Track, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

T.J. Nagle Jr., trainer of Zardsky, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Friday 21st March that his charge has had a wind operation since his last run.

008D Moscow Flyer Novice H'dle

The Stewards interviewed D.N. Russell, rider of Western Boy, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (a) having used the whip in front of the saddle in the forehand position and having considered his record, suspended him for one race day.

008E David Trundley Artist (Mares) M'dn H'dle

The Stewards enquired into possible interference from the last hurdle involving Dantes Firth, ridden by R. Loughran, placed second and Railway Zira, ridden by S.W. Flanagan, placed first. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judges placings and took no further action.

Owing to the low lying sun, the Stewards granted permission for the fourth last hurdle to be omitted for the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh races.
