330C Yellow Furze H'cap H'dle

The Stewards requested a report from J.P.Dempsey, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Whatareudoingtome, winner, as compared with its recent form.
The trainer reported that on his second last run at Naas on 19th October, his charge made a bad mistake at the 3rd last hurdle, and lost any chance thereafter. He then ran at Punchestown on 15th November in his first handicap hurdle and he disappointed badly, but he could find no explanation for the poor showing. That day he dropped him back in trip to 2m, and any apparent improvement in form shown today may have been as a result of the significant step up in trip to 2m7f and his rider claiming 5lbs off a light weight.
Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanations offered.

330D Irish Stallion Farms EBF Novice S'chase

The Stewards interviewed Anthony McCann, trainer of One Cool Shabra concerning the withdrawal of his charge from this race by Order of the Stewards, when acting under terms of Rule 194 (ii)(c)(i), they withdrew the horse as he went to the start without the declared cheekpieces.
Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned, who apologised to the Stewards, stating the horse proved difficult to saddle up, and he was distracted and simply forgot to apply the cheekpieces.
Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards fined the trainer €100 and reminded him of his responsibilities in this regard.
