153D Darley Irish EBF Kooyonga Stakes

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Didn'thavemuchtodo, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received interference in the straight.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dower House, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference where the runners were racing wide and passing a boundary marker over one furlong from the finish involving Cigamia (USA), ridden by W.J. Lee, placed second, Didn'thavemuchtodo, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed third, Giladah, ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed fourth, and Cadeau Belle (FR), ridden by B.M. Coen, placed first, where it appeared that Cadeau Belle (FR) may have caused some interference when racing widest of the runners. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, D.P. McDonogh stated that he had to steady his mount for a stride when Cigamia (USA) rolled. C.D. Hayes stated that he rode up the stand side on the faster ground and kept close to the boundary marker when Cadeau Belle (FR) quickened on his outer and intimidated his mount. W.J. Lee stated that his mount rolled slightly right but was corrected quickly. B.M. Coen stated that he dropped in behind and ran a bit left through greenness when accelerating quickly through a gap on the outside of Giladah. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings and took no further action.

153F Royal County H'cap

M. Halford & T. Collins, trainers of Kalikapour, reported to the Clerk of Scales that their charge travelled strongly down the hill and stopped quickly in the dip.
