Owing to ground conditions, the Stewards granted permission for the first fence past the stands to be omitted from all chases.

026A Paddy Power Chelt.Trial 23/2 M'dn H'dle

B.T. O'Connell, rider of Miss Coley trained by John J. Walsh, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst blood vessels in running.

026B BBA Ireland Ltd Opera Hat(Mares)S'chase

The Stewards interviewed P.T. Enright, rider of Byerley Babe, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.4, in that he used the whip without giving his mount sufficient time to respond and having considered his record, suspended him for one race day.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Tarla (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

026C Tote Jackpot M'dn H'dle

The Stewards interviewed M.W. Bowes, rider of Boom Hall, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10 3(b), in that he continued to use the whip after his chance of winning or being placed had gone and having considered his record, suspended him for three race days.

026D DUBES Bess Ball Hype H'cap S'chase

The Stewards fined John C. McConnell, trainer, €130 for lodging a passport in respect of Swanfold, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.
