The Stewards enquired into possible interference about one furlong from the finish involving Halimi, ridden by L.T. McAteer, placed third, Bashiyr, ridden by M.P. Sheehy, placed second and Melburnian (FR), ridden by N.G. McCullagh, placed fourth, where it appeared that Melburnian (Fr) ran short of room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned with M.P. Sheehy giving his evidence in the presence of Michael Mulvany. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings. They did, however, consider that the interference was caused by M.P. Sheehy riding carelessly, this being a breach of Rule 214. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended M.P. Sheehy for 2 racedays.

The Stewards intended to enquire into an incident about two and a half furlongs from the finish where Sayo (GB), ridden by W.M. Lordan, fell and Guinevere, ridden by S.P. Davis, unseated rider. As both riders required medical attention, the Stewards were unable to conduct an enquiry and referred the matter to the CEO of the IHRB for further investigation

The Stewards enquired into incidents in the straight involving Mean Fomhair, ridden by C.T. Keane, unplaced, Ramiro, ridden by G.P. Brouder, placed first and Dragon Of Malta, ridden by S.M. Crosse, placed third, where it appeared Mean Fomhair was short of room early in the straight and later on Dragon of Malta may have been carried to the right by Ramiro. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.
