The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

A.P.O'Brien, trainer of High Definition (Off-Feed) - €200
Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer of Flying Scotsman (Off-Feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

B. M. Coen rode Mountain Fox (reserve) , trained by F.Oakes (Race 8)
G. M. Ryan replaced K.K. Hennessy on Zadallabration, trained by Michael G. Kennedy (Race 3)(Rider administration error).

176A Irish Stallion Farms EBF M'dn

W.M. Lordan, rider of Harvard trained by A.P.O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount leaned left up the straight.

176B Racing Academy Apprentice Rated Race

S.T. McCullagh, rider of Sam Missile trained by Patrick J. McKenna, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

The Stewards enquired into two incidents in the closing stages involving Dedillon, ridden by P.A. Harnett, placed sixth, Zofar Zogood, ridden by D. McMonagle, placed second, Liliofthelamplight, ridden by Vanessa Maye, unplaced and Grizzly, ridden by C.G. O'Dwyer, unplaced, where it appeared firstly, that Grizzly ran short of room and had to check and then that Liliofthelamplight got squeezed up on the rails. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found P. A. Harnett in breach of Rule 214, in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered P. A. Harnett's record in this regard the Stewards suspended P. A. Harnett for two racedays. C. G. O'Dwyer was accompanied by Mr. Tommy Dowling and D. McMonagle was accompanied by Mr. Chris Armstrong at this enquiry.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Windham Belle, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran very green.

176C Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dn

The Stewards received a report from Mr. A. Tyrrell, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer, that he was unable to positively identify Braganza (GB), trained by Emmet Mullins, from the markings contained in the passport presented for this horse. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Braganza (GB) and referred the matter to the C.E.O of the Irish Horse Racing Regulatory board. Furthermore, the Stewards, pursuant to the provisions of Rule 147 (v) fined Emmet Mullins €130 for not having an Authorised representative present today.

S. Foley, rider of Pyramid Rock trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a abnormal respiratory noise at about half way and was eased.

A.J. Slattery, rider of Nailed Down trained by Michael Mulvany, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tight for room leaving the stalls.

176D Leopardstown Members Race

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Choice Of Mine (AUS), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

176E Holden Plant Rentals H'cap

The Stewards requested a report from Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Numberoneson, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Mr. Brendan Powell, authorised representative for the trainer stated that the ground was too soft on the horses most recent run at Gowran and the better ground today coupled with the application of first time tongue strap had helped to bring about the improvement in form when compared with its most recent run. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.

176F Irish Stallion Farms EBF (C & G) M'dn

G.M. Ryan, rider of Baltinglass Hill trained by M.C. Grassick, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left in the straight.

176G1 Leopardstown Club 30 H'cap

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Universal Focus (GER), ridden by W.J. Lee, placed second, Full Moon Magic, ridden by S.M. Crosse, placed first and Happy Company, ridden by D.E. Sheehy, placed third, where it appeared Universal focus ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judges placings. They did however find S. M. Crosse in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered S. M. Crosse's record in this regard the Stewards suspended S. M. Crosse for one raceday.

S.M. Crosse, rider of Full Moon Magic trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left inside the final furlong.

176G2 Leopardstown Club 30 H'cap

W.J. Lee, rider of Ventnor trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran keen early.
