The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer of Kauri Cliffs (change in going- excuse not accepted) - €200.
Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer of Globe Theatre (USA) (change of going - excuse not accepted) - €200.
S. Donohoe, trainer of Royal Pippen (Going, excuse not accepted) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

Cillian McConnell replaced Siobhan Rutledge on Seanjohnsilver, trained by John C. McConnell (Race 3)(Rider administration error)
D. P. McDonogh replaced S.M. Crosse on Degraves, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien (Race 4)(Stewards permission)
N. M. Crosse replaced C.J. Orr on Blue Whisper (GB), trained by S. Donohoe (Race 3)(Stewards permission)

S.P. Davis, rider of Ranger Bob trained by Gerard Keane, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount missed the break.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Power And Pace trained by J.T.Gorman, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

James J. Doyle, rider of Rotokura (GB) trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran short of room in the straight.

W.M. Lordan, rider of Impetuous (GB) trained by E. J. O'Grady, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right.

153C Holden Plant Rentals H'cap

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. L. Walsh, that C.J. Orr, rider of Blue Whisper(GB, was unable to weigh out at the designated weight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards found C. J. Orr in breach of Rule 195 and having considered C. J. Orr's record in this regard they fined C. J. Orr €150 on this occasion.

The Stewards requested a report from Kevin Thomas Coleman, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Swiss Army Officer, placed second, as compared with its recent form. Mr. Coleman stated that his charge is inconsistent and runs very in and out and he could offer no reason why. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.

153E Leopardstown H'cap

The Stewards interviewed G. Bourke, rider of Welcoming (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found G. Bourke in breach of Regulation 10.3 (b), the unnecessary hitting of a horse after its chance of winning or being placed is clearly gone. Having considered G. Bourke's record in this regard the Stewards suspended G. Bourke for one raceday.

D.E. Sheehy, rider of Multamis trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran short of room in the straight.
