The Stewards fined Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of San Gabriel, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

044C James McGarry & Netwatch H'cap H'dle

A. Ring, rider of Mark Me Up (GB) trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled.

A.P. Thornton, rider of Green Energy (GB), trained by Matthew J. Smith, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a respiratory noise in running.

The Stewards interviewed J.S. McGarvey, rider of Charles Magnes (FR), concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f) and 10.4, in that he used the whip with excessive frequency and failed to give his mount time to respond. Having considered his record in this regard, the rider was suspended for four race days and instructed to attend RACE for one day's tuition on the use of the whip.

The Stewards fined Ronald O'Neill, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Sydney Thompson, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

044D Aidan Fogarty&Ashgrove Stables H'cap Sch

The Stewards requested a report from Robert Tyner, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Instant Impacked, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge disappointed on very heavy ground on his last start, it being his first run after a break. He added that his yard is in excellent form, having had numerous winners in the last few weeks. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.

044F Derek Lyng Tetratema Cup Hunters S'chase

Mr P.W. Mullins, rider of Quel Esprit (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stopped quickly and pulled up.

The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr.W.Fleming, that Mr C.J. Sweeney, rider of Burren River, weighed in 1.9lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 231, and having considered his record, suspended him for one race day.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Quel Esprit (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame post race.

044G Brian Cody&Glanbia P-To-P INH Flat Race

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Altiepix (FR), trained by P.M.J.Doyle, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be abnormal post race.

Kevin O'Sullivan, trainer of Ballyadeen, reported to the Office of the Governing Bodies on Monday 10th March that his charge was found to have scoped badly following an endoscopic examination post race.
