The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D.F. O'Regan replaced L.P. Dempsey on Bachelor, trained by Noel C. Kelly (Race 4)(Injured)
K.C. Sexton replaced L.P. Dempsey on A Girl Like Me, trained by Andrew Lee (Race 6)(Injured)

309B Connolly's RED MILLS EBF Auct. Mdn H'dle

P.T. Enright, rider of Nelson's Point (GB) trained by Robert Tyner, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jumped the roadway at the stable yard going out on the last circuit.

The Stewards interviewed P.K. Donovan, rider of Rippon Lodge, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that P.K. Donovan was in breach of R10(3)(b) by using his whip unnecessarily when his chance of winning or being placed was clearly gone. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned P.K. Donovan on this occasion.

309E W.B. Gavin & Co. H'cap H'dle

D.F. O'Regan, rider of Sassy Yet Classy trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a bad mistake at the second last hurdle.

309F Galway H'cap H'dle

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Not So Simple, trained by Norman Lee, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

309G COLM QUINN BMW (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race

The Stewards interviewed Mr T. Feeney, rider of Gordon Dai Dai (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr T. Feeney was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency and R10(3)(i) by using his whip without allowing his mount at least three strides to respond. Having taken his good previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Mr T. Feeney for 2 racedays.
