The Stewards interviewed Siobhan Rutledge, rider of The Feathered Nest, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(b) in that she had used her whip unnecessarily, after her chance of winning or being placed had clearly gone. Having taken her previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended Siobhan Rutledge for two racedays and ordered that she attend R.A.C.E for one day's tuition on the correct use of the whip.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Masalai, trained by Edward Lynam, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards interviewed S.M. Mooney, rider of Confident Kid (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he had used his whip excessively, but stated that he had used his whip on a few occasions to correct his mount from hanging to the right which in his opinion had cost him two to three lengths. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards accepted that three strikes were used for corrective purposes and the rider was therefore not in breach of Regulation 10. They were, however, of the opinion that S.M. Mooney was in breach of Rule 213 in that he failed to report at the first instance, something which may have affected the performance of his mount and having considered his record in this regard, they cautioned him on this occasion. .

The Stewards interviewed K.J. Leonard, rider of Nailed On Nina, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g) in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended K.J. Leonard for 3 racedays.

James J. Doyle, rider of Katie Beag trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount clipped a heel on the first bend.

The Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the first bend involving Mountain Fox, ridden by N.G. McCullagh, Yarraman, ridden by C.P. Hoban, Katie Beag, ridden by James J. Doyle, and Knuckles McGinty (GB), ridden by Vanessa Maye, where it appeared Katie Beag clipped a heel. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the field had bunched at the wrong time which had caused the incident and therefore took no further action.
