The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Senado Square (GB), ridden by C. Horgan, unplaced, Samrogue, ridden by O. McSweeney, placed first, and Maggie Thunder, ridden by D.P. McDonogh where it appeared Samrogue had to take a check when going for a gap. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.Horgan felt he kept a straight line but when he heard a shout he made room. O. McSweeney stated that he had to take a slight check. D.P. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he was getting tired in the closing stages and as such didn't have as tight a hold on his whip which is why it appeared the whip may have come in contact with his mounts head. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the riders explanation.
