The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

174A Hibernia Steel Ltd H'cap

K.J. Manning, rider of Grey Danube, trained by D.J. Bunyan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung throughout this race.

174B Dundalk Equine Clinic M'dn

The Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final two furlongs involving Chief Suspect, ridden by S. Foley, unplaced, Carrie Bow Cay, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed fourth and Le Prix Du Saint (USA), ridden by P.J. Smullen, unplaced, where it appeared that Chief Suspect checked in running. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that K.J. Manning had ridden carelessly and suspended him for 1 raceday having taken his previous record into consideration.

174C Crowne Plaza Hotel Of Dundalk H'cap

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Sweet Annathea, ridden by K.J. Manning, unplaced and Phils Wish, ridden by G.F. Carroll, unplaced. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that G.F. Carroll had ridden carelessly and consequently severely cautioned him having taken his previous good record into consideration.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Carla's Princess, trained by Noel V.Kennedy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung throughout this race.

174D Marshes Shopping Centre H'cap

G.F. Carroll, rider of Black Worcester, trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount received interference on leaving the starting stalls.

P.J. Smullen, rider of Soft Power, trained by Edward Lynam, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly to the left from two furlongs out.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Pennys Angel, trained by J.T.Gorman, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount met with interference on leaving the starting stalls.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Les Darcy (GB), trained by Patrick J.Flynn, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

D.M. Grant, rider of Les Darcy (GB), trained by Patrick J.Flynn, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung throughout this race.

The Stewards enquired into an incident after the turn into the straight involving Fix It, ridden by Caroline Murtagh, placed first and Omri (USA), ridden by J.F. Egan, placed fourth. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Michael Halford representing J.P. Murtagh, Master of Caroline Murtagh, attended this enquiry. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Caroline Murtagh had ridden carelessly and consequently cautioned her having taken her inexperience into consideration.

174F Crowne Plaza Race & Stay H'cap

The Stewards informed Gerard Keane, trainer that The Black Devil, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Stewards informed William Durkan, trainer that Mind The Pennies, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Stewards informed M.Halford, trainer that Hazledoc, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.

The Stewards interviewed R.P. Cleary, rider of General Bunching (USA), concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that R.P. Cleary was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Consequently he was suspended for 3 racedays having taken his previous record into consideration.

174G Hibernia Steel Ltd M'dn

C.D. Hayes, rider of Got To Dream (GB), trained by Kevin Prendergast, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung to the right in the straight.
