125C O2 Office 365 H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed Miss K. Ferris, rider of Deputy Consort (USA), concerning her use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f) and 10(4), in that she used the whip with excessive frequency and without giving her mount sufficient time to respond. Having considered her record in this regard, she was suspended for two race days.

125D Barclay Telecom H'cap H'dle

The Stewards enquired into possible interference from the second last hurdle to the line involving Vote Of Confidence (USA), ridden by J.W. Kennedy, placed third, Clontarf, ridden by K.M. Donoghue, placed second and Misdflight, ridden by D.G. Hogan, placed first. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that D.G. Hogan was in breach of Rule 214, in that he rode dangerously and therefore disqualified Misdflight. They amended the judge's placings to read 5,4,7,9 and 12. Furthermore having considered his record in this regard, D.G.Hogan was suspended for ten race days and ordered to forfeit his riding fee.
