The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

C. J. Orr replaced C.P. McNamara on Elderado, trained by Gavin Cromwell (Race 1)(injured)
R. P. Treacy replaced C.P. McNamara on Alfred Wegener, trained by E. McNamara (Race 2)(Injured)
R. P. Treacy replaced C.P. McNamara on Lily Trotter (GB), trained by E. McNamara (Race 5)(Injured)

250A Toals Bookmakers M'dn H'dle

B. Browne, rider of Lets Get Started trained by Oliver McKiernan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.

250B Joe Rea Memorial H'cap H'dle

The Stewards interviewed Rachael Blackmore, rider of Lusis Naturea (GB), concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that one of the riders strikes was for corrective measures and as the remaining number of strikes did not breach Regulation 10 they took no further action.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Gotta Getaway, trained by Shane Nolan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race mormal.

The Stewards interviewed R. A. Doyle, rider of Greenandwhitearmy, trained by Neil McKnight, after they received a report from Mr. J. R. Banahan that R. A. Doyle had jumped off before reaching the marker poles. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case. Having viewed the recording and considered the evidence, the Stewards found R. A. Doyle in breach of Rule 208.(iii).(b), in that he had put his horse into a trot or canter with a view to taking any advantage before the race is started. Having considered R. A. Doyles record in this regard the Stewards suspended him for one raceday.

250D Randox Health Rated Novice H'dle

The Stewards interviewed S. O'Callaghan, rider of Ballinlina Boy (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found S. O'Callaghan in breach of Regulation 10.3.(b), the unnecessary hitting of a horse after its chance of winning or being placed is clearly gone. Having considered S. O'Callaghans record in this regard the Stewards suspended S. O'Callaghan for one raceday.

250F Frank & Brian Fitzsimmons Mem. Hcap S'ch

The Stewards requested a report from Gordon Elliott, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Give Him Time (GB), placed first, as compared with its most recent run. Camilla Sharples, Authorised Representative for the trainer, stated that on the horses most recent run at Roscommon on the third of August he had been handy but made a bad mistake in the latter stages which knocked the wind out of him and he was subsequently pulled up. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation given.

The Stewards interviewed Mr J.J. O'Neill, rider of Scully's Dream, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Mr. J. J. O'Neill in breach of Regulation 10.3. (e) the hitting of the horse other than down the shoulder or on the hind quarters, (F) excessive force and (I) time to respond. Having considered Mr. J. J. O'Neills record in this regard the Stewards suspended Mr. J. J. O'Neill for four racedays.
