The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

Edward Lynam, trainer of Balmont Mast (Off Feed) - €200

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D.W. O'Connor rode Touch Of Frost, trained by J.F. Levins (Race 7)(Late nomination of rider, stewards' permission)

212B Loder EBF (Fillies) Race

S. Foley, rider of Camellia Japonica, trained by Joseph G. Murphy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount caught a heel, stumbled and unseated approximately four furlongs from the finish.

212E Qatar Racing Club Phoenix Sprint Stakes

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Anthem Alexander, trained by Edward Lynam, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

212F Jog For Jockeys 23rd August Nursery Hcap

The Stewards interviewed J.F. Levins, trainer, concerning the failure to nominate a rider before the designated time for Touch Of Frost. Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated that the failure to nominate a rider was a mistake on his part and he apologised for the oversight. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards found J.F. Levins in breach of Reg 3 and Rule 195 and having taken his record into account the Stewards imposed a fine of €130.

The Stewards interviewed D.W. O'Connor, rider of Touch Of Frost, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned in the presence of his master, J.F. Levins, trainer. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found D.W. O'Connor in breach of Reg 10 3(b) by using his whip after its chance of winning or being placed was clearly gone and having taken his record into account the Stewards suspended him for one race day.

212G Tipperary Crystal H'cap

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Colour Rhapsody trained by John M. Oxx, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran short of room in the last 100 yards.

K.J. Manning, rider of Ringside Humour trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount didn't get a clear run.
